The Clay House Children’s Center (January 9, 2012 – April 19, 2012)

This facility investigates charges of child abuse. They conduct the forensic interviews and work in conjunction
with DHR, the District Attorney’s office, and the detective assigned to the case. They also provide counseling to
the child and any family members affected by the abuse. I view interviews, help develop plans to move forward in
the investigative and judicial process according to the wishes of the family, conduct non-offending
parent/caregiver interviews, and assist with counseling. I also work closely with the detectives viewing offender
interviews and attend family court on Clay House cases behalf of the Clay House. I have also been able to see a
few criminal trials.
