As Manager of Strategic Partnerships and Development for San Francisco based strategy and planning firm MKThink, I l aunched and grew a new consultancy division (MKThink Strategy) which offered clients strategic and long-range master planning; facility planning and design, evaluation and analysis; policy and program evaluation and analysis; operational and organizational development; staff reorganization and alignment; board/advisory committee development; leadership and

change management services. Over the past several years I have directed and managed a portfolio of strategy and planning projects with entities addressing new policy initiatives, changing demographic trends, public funding requests, project prioritization and programmatic direction, and aligning financial and other organizational strategies to meet their current and future needs and objectives.

Prior to MKThink, I was Director of Programs--Scholarships and Grants with the national education organization Hispanic Scholarship Fund. I provided effective leadership overseeing all aspects of 3 national scholarship, grant and financial p lanning programs. I directly supervised a 15-member staff, structured operational processes and procedures to ensure scholarship and grant awards complied with donor requirements. My responsibilities also required that I secure partnership

with donors (including fortune 500 firms), manage those relationships and developed strategies to highlight their support through internal and external media outlets. I directed the recruitment and t raining of 150+ volunteer corporate, business and education professionals who evaluate the more than 24,000 scholarship and grant applications reviewed and processed annually.
