PROJECT: Reward Zone Premier Tiering

Client: Best Buy, USA

Environment: O/s: Windows 2000/NT, Java, Database: SQL Server 2000

Description: The objective of this project is to reward the privileged customers of Best buy by

considering them as the premier tier members once the amount spent by them at Best buy reaches the

eligible amount. A customer will be a Reward zone premier tier member when he spends an amount of

2500$ in a calendar year. Tier upgrade will be done 30 days post to the qualifying date. Levels of service

dropdown will reflect the free and adjusted shipping charges based on the tier status. SUI, the returns

application of Best buy will be able to recognize the premier tier member’s orders. The premier tier

members will be given an extension of 45 days to return the items purchased.

Responsibilities:

• Developed test cases after analyzing the functional specification documents

• Used Quality Center for bug tracking and reporting, also followed up with development team to

verify bug fixes and status updates

• Prepared test data and developed data driven tests for functionality testing

• Involved in preparation of test strategy and test plan

PROJECT: Release7.2.0- Attribute Based Navigation and Ratings and Reviews

Description:

Attribute Based Navigation: The main objective of Attribute based navigation is to replace the current

category based navigation. This will modify existing search templates to create a more dynamic, attribute

based navigation which will offer customers a better browsing experience. Another modification in this

project is when the customer navigates to the listing page by clicking on any facet in the left navigation

the listing page will be dynamic and all the pages in the breadcrumb will become dynamic

Ratings and Reviews: This main Objective of this project is to offer both the online and in-store

customer relevant peer-generated content/feedback to help inform a purchase decision and increase

propensity to purchase. .The written reviews and ratings by registered customers will be sent to Bazaar

Voice, a third party tool which will read the reviews, create a review and give overall rating to the

products. The ratings and the number of reviews can be seen in the listing page, product detail page and

the SKU promotions.

Responsibilities:

• Involved in preparing test plan and providing estimates for testing

• Wrote test cases and executed them in Quality Center.

• Reviewed test cases written by peers

Description: The Standard homepage of Betfair is too sophisticated with 130 links for a prospect user.

The four links that help the prospect user to start registration will be highlighted and made eye catching.

The aim of the Prospect Homepage is therefore to create a more prospect-focused homepage so that more

unregistered visitors begin the registration process. This Prospect Homepage is limited to UK customers.

Responsibilities:

• Involved in preparing test plan and test cases.

• Checked the status of defects opened in the bug-tracking tool Test Track Pro and retested fixed

bugs on Dev box

• Maintained good co-ordination with both Dev and Release team.

• Generated daily and weekly status reports.

• Created regression checklist, a complete document, which covers all the functionalities of the

project.
