Co-founded TIAA Credit Opportunity RMBS fund, $1B absolute return vehicle
for proprietary trading and investment in distressed RMBS assets (TGPI RMBS
Fund). Unlevered long only fund generated total return of -3.5% in 2008,
+25% 2009, +15% 2010, +1.0% 2011, +32% 2012. Cumulative return of +92%, and
annualized return +17.8% in 2009-2012. Individual sector P&L returns are
consistent with fund returns.
Co-led development of the TIAA investment strategy in the low interest
rates environment in close collaboration with senior management, portfolio

Key accomplishments - Risk Management:
Designed and managed successful development of the proprietary non-agency
RMBS default model to be used for investment, surveillance, and Risk
Management. The model incorporated unique servicer specific modeling
approach to generate monthly forward-looking cash flow projections for $15B
portfolio.
In close collaboration with Risk Management designed and managed
development of Early Warnings framework for structured products to identify
holdings with weakening risk profile due to credit risk, price volatility
risk, potential accounting impairment, and increase in risk based capital
allocation.
Identified investment opportunity in Esoteric ABS, actively participated in
idea development and securing senior management, and Risk Management
approval to launch proprietary $300MM+ Insurance Linked Notes (Catastrophe

overseeing research idea generation and investment process across Agency
and Non Agency RMBS, CMBS, Consumer and Esoteric ABS (ILS/CAT), and CLO(s)
