Corpus Christi Army Depot Machinist's and Mechanic's by providing all the
tools and parts needed in an aircraft depot level repairs facility for
rotary wing aircraft. I ordered and received parts and tools for five shop
areas; I played a major role in cost saving by shopping for best price
solutions. I ensured all precision measuring tools were with-in
calibration (over 3000 tools); I trained workers to use precision measuring
tools. I made certain all safety rules were enforced and followed, I
ensured that all manning requirements are met, I validated that employees
were up to date in training, I was always ready for audits by ensuring all
programs were up to date and in compliance with directives, SOP's and Tech

personnel, interviewing for positions and running daily operations in four
aircraft hangars. I worked closely with other supervisors and Hangar

I supervised/ managed 70 Naval and GS-12 technicians in five depot level
maintenance shops that overhauled and refurbished naval weapon systems,
ordnance, radar/ antenna repairs, and the pneumatic and hydraulic pipe and
tubing shop for the Mid-Atlantic area ships. I participated in planning
meetings with higher management (Commanding Office and all water front
Department Heads 0-6s) relative to down equipment, priority work
requirements, emergency problems and other significant requirements at the
Depot. I provided information regarding required costs, time needed to
fulfill equipment/facility requirements, man-hour/material cost estimates,
lead time and similar information. I executed and oversaw Lean Six Sigma
projects to reduce man-hours and parts wait time for weapons systems
overhauls along with participating in quarterly mini projects. I
performed production planning, cost estimating and production scheduling. I
have extensive knowledge of a depot production mission, organization and
standard production methods and procedures, material, and manpower
requirements in order to perform immediate production control tasks such as
performing monthly, weekly, and daily workload schedules for a large
industrial branch with multiple production work centers. I estimated costs
per item, number of man-hours required to accomplish the work, material
requirements, etc. I researched manufacturer's specifications, technical

request. Established general priority based upon required delivery date,
urgency of requirement and mission requirement. I determine whether work
should be performed in-house or contracted out based on manpower to cost to
time. I coordinated action with supply and parts managers to resolve parts

to come up with kits of parts need for rebuild of weapon systems that would
auto order when we accepted a job, found local purchase, manufacture or
expediting of outstanding requisitions to save time and money. I ensured
established schedules meet work sequencing requirements. I monitored the
status of work in progress (quantity, man-hours used, costs, etc.) aware of
delays and their causes and took action needed to resolve problems,
referring situations or problems not covered by instructions or precedents

managed the handling and storage of explosive ordnance components; overseen
training programs; prepares quarterly, weekly and daily maintenance
schedules. Perform material (ordnance) handling duties in a safe manner
utilizing safety practices and procedures and complying with established
and specialized safety rules and regulations. During inspections and
audits, I would personally escort personnel into secured ordnance vault and
magazines. Always making sure the magazines were secured in accordance with

was responsible for 1.7 million pounds of naval ammunition, keeping an
inventory above the Navy goal of 99.7% accuracy rate. I developed
procedures for implementation of ammunition maintenance concepts throughout
the material life cycle, which includes all conventional munitions,
chemical munitions and contingency stocks.
