Social Community Manager, B-metro Magazine; 2010-present

Acted as the public voice for B-metro both online and at frequent events. Was the liaison between the average B-metro reader

and the rest of the magazine staff. Deepened community through carefully using Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin, Yelp,

and our website to connect with readers while promoting our content and events. Aided in and produced web exclusive content

including videos, and blog posts. Live tweeted and Facebook updated from local events as a part of my efforts to maintain a

consistent “real world” presence in Birmingham and facilitate our brand’s growth within the community.

Digital Media Producer, B-metro Magazine; 2009-present

Designed and implemented campaigns to meet advertisers digital marketing needs across multiple platforms. Managed media

presence on multiple social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Linkedin, and Pinterest. Created, designed

and executed weekly newsletter campaigns and began leveraging it’s readership for revenue. In charge of keeping site opti-

mized and indexed for search engines. Uploaded the magazine’s monthly content, digitally redesigned what was necessary as

well maintaining our blogging community. Managed SEO and social integration factors and digital promotion of all B-metro

and B-metro sponsored events.

Event Coordinator, B-metro Magazine; 2009-present

Brainstormed, created, and executed various events to increase the magazine’s community involvement with readers. Devel-

oped and maintained relationships with other media outlets to aid in promotion, as well as with various sponsors to provide

support to the events. Worked closely with advertisers and other companies creating relationships that enhanced and grew our

audience, and with non-profits providing altruistic benefits to the community..

New Media Director, B-metro Magazine; 2009-2010

Began work on building the online voice of the publication. Created facebook, twitter, e-newsletter templets.

Determined best direction for digital growth and worked to begin creating that personality and presence online. Worked along-

side developers to create and execute b-metro.com and was responsible for uploading and transferring print content to the web.
