Education

2010 to 2012, Bachelors of Arts in Accounting, The University of Phoenix. I graduated with a GPA of

3.6.

1999 to May 2001, AAS in Accounting, Pitt Community College, I graduated with a GPA of 3.8. I was a

member of the honor society, Gamma Beta Phi, and held the position of Treasurer.

Work Experience

July 2012- Current, Accounting Director, Royal Janitorial Service

I am the Financial Director for a large janitorial company with over 700 people in seven states. I direct

the A/P, A/R, and Payroll departments in daily activities. I prepare all monthly, quarterly and

yearly reports for accounting. I do all the payroll quarterly reports and end of the year payroll

reports. I report all the profit and losses to the CEO and prepare the year end statements for

the accountant. I also prepare the monthly and yearly budgets for the onsite managers and do

the cost analyses for new job bids.

July 2007 August 2011, Accountant, Moore’s Fiberglass

As an Accountant I accomplished all forms of accounting for this manufacturing company. Including, but

not limited to, payroll and payroll taxes, A/R, A/P, all quarterly, and year end reports. I also did a monthly

cost analysis and kept a tight production schedule. I formulated spreadsheets to keep track of material

cost increases, to increase production and product cost accordingly. A/R went from 59 days to 26 day

collection rate. I also prepared the company books for taxes, which included setting up depreciation

schedules and interest schedules.

January 2006 - July 2007, Accountant, Frank Harper, CPA

As a Staff Accountant I worked with both individuals and corporations to gather information and

complete taxes. I also did payroll, payroll taxes, quarterly and year end payroll reports. I also completed

sales tax reports. I prepared journal entry and general ledger entries for clients. I also was instrumental in

training clients on how to do bookkeeping and teaching them Quickbooks and Creative Solutions.

February 2001– Present, Accountant, Self-employed

I have approximately twenty companies and individuals whom I do taxes and bookkeeping. My

companies include a used auto dealership, construction companies, manufacturing company, and an auto

repair company. I do all quarterly and yearly taxes for these companies. I also complete income tax

returns for individuals and businesses. I also work with my husband to operate our bait and tackle shop.

Volunteer Work

My family and I participate yearly in the Rely for Life, which includes fund raisers.
