I am a very hard working individual who is reliable, punctual and believes
in always working hard to better and improve yourself. I can work to a very
high standard on my own or equally as well within a team. I fully
understand and can demonstrate what is expected of myself to succeed and to
help my employers succeed. I am highly motivated and excel when faced with
new challenges in a job which contribute to my drive I have to gain
success, gain new skills and meet targets in everything that I do in steps
towards my career as well as in my personal life.

During my time as a Firefighter I gained many skills involved within the
job and also life skills that are priceless. I am a fully qualified BA
(Breathing Apparatus) wearer, fully qualified to carry out RTC (Road
Traffic Collision) procedures, working at height skills, trauma care and
pump and hose drills all to a gold standard of practice. I have experienced
what is expected of an individual to work on their own to a very high
standard in various scenarios and also how important it is to be able to
work as part of a team and be a valuable member to that team to complete
tasks to a high standard. Working as a Firefighter I have also been
presented with extreme working conditions that has required myself to work
beyond expectations which I enjoy and drives me to work even harder and
better myself at what I do everyday. It helps to have a high level of
fitness in this job role also so it encourages myself to maintain and
always improve my personal fitness and setting targets for myself on a
weekly basis which is also a passion of mine which I take pride in and work
hard at.

Warehouse Operative
During my time working at the Co Operative I have gained and developed
skills in warehouse operations. I have worked as part of a team to meet
strict deadlines but also been given tasks to complete on my own to strict
deadlines and to a excellent quality. I have been trained in all areas and
roles of positions within the warehouse. I have been trained fully in
preparing deliveries ready to leave the warehouse, receiving deliveries
into the warehouse, distributing the stock delivered into the relevant
departments within the warehouse and overseeing these operations are
completed correctly in a safe, effective and high quality of work that will
benefit the company and support the company achieve and maintain its
targets and standards.

At Viking International I was responsible for contributing and supporting a
team working to reach targets including receiving stock into the warehouse
and preparing stock to leave the warehouse. I was also responsible for

Stockroom Manager
This was my second occasion as a stockroom manager for Schuh but at a
different store. My role and responsibilities were the same as on my first
period employed in this position at a different store. I was given the
duties of all stockroom operations which involved overseeing other staff
working under myself and allocating them jobs and roles on a daily basis. I
was responsible for ensuring daily deliveries were completed within a
certain time scale and completed in a safe professional manor. Daily I
maintained and always made sure stock was fully available so staff working
with customers could provide the stock required to the customers. On a
regular basis I also provided updates to management above myself off any
changes, full progress and developments within the stockroom. I was also
trained in my role to use a computer system which provided information on
stock, deliveries and capabilities of stock available through out the
company. I always made sure the stockrooms were in the safest possible
condition to provide a excellent and safe working environment for not only
myself but all staff who worked with me. As a stockroom manager I always
made myself very approachable, available, reliable and fully supported my
fellow colleagues in all their roles and was always open to new ideas and
changes to help support, improve and maintain the stockrooms.

I worked at Ambleside Park Hotel as a general assistant. I worked in all
areas and positions within the hotel. I gained experience in the role as a
kitchen porter, cleaning staff, front of house and bar work. This position
was a seasonal job and only lasted 3 months but during this time I learned
a lot about the roles I was given and become fully competent in those roles
very quickly. During my time at Ambleside Park Hotel I also worked with a
very varied work force who were of all ages, ethnic groups and backgrounds
and I fully enjoyed the whole experience.

Interests
One of my main interest is music. I have a big passion for music both
playing and listening. I have been playing guitar now for 12 years and also
playing drums for 2 years. I have played in many bands and have wrote my
own original music. I also write my own music digitally using music
production programs and with my National Diploma in music I gained I am
fully capable of playing, producing, mixing and recording my music with
live instruments using microphones and digital and analog recording
equipment. Over the years I have played I have build up my collection of
musical equipment and now have a mini studio in my home.
Another big interest I have is in fitness. I love keeping myself in shape
and all the challenges it brings from taking part in various sports to
maintaining my diet. I run a lot of long distance in my free time and have
taken part in the Bupa Great North Run,

National 3 Peaks challenge which I completed over 24 hours and The
Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. As part of my fitness program I attend a gym 4
times a week where I weight train and swim. I am also a keen cyclist and
cycle long distance in different terrain in my free time.
