WORK HISTORY
2002 - 2013 Canadian National Railways
HR/Recordwriter. Enter payroll time and productivity into SAP system for unionized personnel and
compile overtime report and workforce reports for the southern mechanical regions of Centralia, Cairo,
Champaign, Effingham, Decatur, and Memphis/Fulton. Facilitate new hire medical eligibility and
orientation processes for Memphis area. Order in SRM, facilitate payment of invoices as well as research
for discretionary spending reports for manager, coordinate the investigation process for Disciplinary
measures using the PAP system, track apprenticeship days, obtain purchase orders from RAC for CN
motor vehicle repairs, coordinate CMV licensure and renewal processes with Troy, MI, backup for chief
AAR clerk with knowledge and proficiency in monitoring of incoming freight cars/tanks/hoppers for
compliance with the American Association of Railroad and the Federal Railroad Administration
regulations as relates to cars being structurally sound, check for overloads/imbalances that can impose
derailment risks. Report and record all derailments by compiling the FRA form 6180.97. Correspond
with other railroads in reference to correction of foreign cars that are on the CN lines to correct
infractions. Report any unsafe usage or travel to responsible parties. Verify financial status of mechanical
repairs for recovery of monies to CN. Track and facilitate all cars that are to be dismantled due to
derailments or age/condition. Any other mechanical duties that are AAR/FRA related.
