meetings and daily activity hazard analysis and safety and health inspections. Coordinate New Employee Safety Orientation for
all personnel. Management of subcontractors’ daily activities to mitigate potential hazards through on the job training and
observation of safe work practices and procedures. Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety and health requirements per
EM- 385-1-1 and OSHA.
This $25 Million project’s scope of work consists of raising the existing Air Traffic Control Tower by 18 feet, demolition of
existing hangar facility along with lead and asbestos abatement, and the design and construction of a multi-story high-bay Type
I Aircraft Maintenance Hangar, to include 4 bays of hangar area with associated squadron shop, office, and support spaces. As
of September 2012, the project has approximately 70,000 man hours and 625 days with zero incidents, an A on the NAVFAC
Safety Stand Down, and NAVFAC Letter of Commendation for safety performance.
