Helped lead the efforts along with the CDC, by participating in a Oregon based collaborative study to reduce the catheter infection rate in patients with central intravenous catheters. I worked in modifying and improving our practices and policies, which lead to a zero percent catheter infection rate over a 3 month period. Our new policy is still in use and hopefully our positive findings will help aid in future practices.
Spoke on a panel for the National Kidney Foundation Support Group, sharing my personal and professional experiences.
In 2010, recruited members, encouraged donations and organized a team to participate in the National Kidney Walk.
