Center for the Arts, Escondido Museum (in partnership with two associates) (2010)

Conducted training, consultation and assessment of community outreach initiatives in 16

museums throughout California that hosted Sing Me Your Story, Dance Me Home: Art

and Poetry from Native California. Exhibition produced by the California Exhibition

Resources Alliance (2006-2010)

Created an audience development action plan for the National Japanese American

Historical Society s Building 640 in the Presidio (2008-09)

Conducted research and needs assessment for education programs at the Crocker Art

Conducted professional development workshops on audience development planning for

the California Association of Museums/California Exhibition Resources Alliance (2006)

Served as Project Manager for the Audience Development Initiative for the Oakland

Museum of California (2002)

Created an audience development plan for the Utah Museum of Fine Arts (2002)

Assessed community s needs regarding youth services and education for the Coyote Point

Developed ten focus groups with educators throughout California. The intent of these

focus groups was to assess needs regarding a California Gold Rush exhibition at the

Oakland Museum of California and to establish a network of educator advisors to the

museum, including administrators, teachers and curriculum specialists. (1996)

Program Development

Developed series of public programs for the Museum of Craft and Design, including

lectures, panel presentations, and art workshops for children (2007-2012)

Developed series of public programs for the Museum of Craft & Folk Art, including

scholarly lectures, symposia, performances, and family days (1996-2002)

Developed series of public programs for the Oakland Museum of California on the

California Gold Rush (1998)

Developed monthly evening program at the California Academy of Sciences to serve

families and diverse audiences. Audience increased fivefold over 2 years. (1990-1993)

Teaching

Serves as adjunct faculty for John F. Kennedy University, Department of Museum

Studies, teaching graduate students about community involvement in museums. (1997 -
