Collaborated closely with subcontractors and vendors in order to submit a competitive and comprehensive bid to client. Provided assistance to project managers as needed. This included tracking of site status, scheduling of subcontractors, along with the preparation and submission of close out packages to clients. Assigned the San Diego office to reorganize and complete project with major wireless carrier. Managed 4 crews in a fast paced industry where safety is primary. In charge of completing and submitting close out packages to client at end of job. Tracked jobs on excel spreadsheet to track milestones, change orders and billings.
1994 - 2007: Brookstone Telecom Inc. Temecula, CA
Assistant to estimator for general contractor, with projects based from $20,000 to $5,000,000. I was instrumental in setting up procedures for the estimating department when the cost accounting program (Timberline) was installed. The company grew to have 10 locations nationwide by 1997, at which time I was promoted to Sr. Estimator. This was based on my ability to handle all phases of estimating profitable projects. Later assigned the responsibility of the financial management, which included monthly WIP meetings with project managers and CEO. The last position held was Operations Manager of 70 employees.
