With more than ** years of art, design, web design, marketing,

photography, video production and creative experience I ve solved

numerous problems in all the above areas. I feel my greatest strength is

in my versatility. The majority of my professional life has been in video

production as an animator but the last 10 years or so my focus has

shifted primarily to web design specifically user interface design.

May 2006 to Present - I am currently working as Art Director/Creative

Experience... Director at Tomar Electronics Inc. My duties at Tomar include the design

and day-to-day management of the companies four web sites and design

all the company print marketing materials, I m responsible for product

and application photography, and I write, produce, direct, animate and

edit all company video productions. My position at Tomar Electronics has

aloud me to continue working in all the fields I have enjoyed over my

career. I m responsible for cost effectively presenting Tomar s many

2002-2006 - I worked as a free-lance artist in graphic design, web design,

2D & 3D animation, photography, computer illustration and short-run

printing. Samples of my work may be viewed on my web site at

www.mwalsh.info. I still pursue freelance work for the variety and to

keep my skills sharp.

1988 to 2002 - Quantum Group/CEN. Quantum Group was a full service

video production company that was created from scratch on the

reputations of myself and a few other key people. Working as art

director/animator I was responsible for producing all of the high-end 3D

animation and graphics for Quantum Group. I also worked on location, in

the studio and extensively in the edit bay and engineering. I was also

responsible for the design and construction of sets and models, for the

production division. In 1992 Quantum Group started a new company

called Career & Education Network (CEN). Along with my duties for

Quantum Group I was responsible for pre-press print design, web design,

animation and video production for CEN. In 1996 Quantum Group and

CEN became CEN full time. For CEN I was responsible all the for-

mentioned duties along with all CEN marketing materials from concept to

completion. I also was responsible for most in house IT and some

managerial aspects of the company.

1979 to 1988 - Kartes Video Communications. My responsibilities at

Kartes were virtually the same as Quantum Group. However most of my

work was done before the advent of affordable 3D animation

computers/software. So animation was done the old fashioned way by

hand with ink and paint on cells.

Over the past twenty-five years I ve worked in just about every capacity

of the video, print and web production environment. During this time my

work has won or contributed to winning many awards including: Tellys,

Cine Golden Eagles, an Emmy and many local advertising awards.

Software... I m proficient at, or have vast working experience with the following

software: Photoshop, Illustrator, Image Ready, InDesign, PageMaker,

Premier Pro, Dreamweaver, FrontPage, Flash 8 with video pro, Acrobat,

Softimage, most MS office software and many other applications.

Web Coding... I have many years experience working with: HTML, CSS, PHP, ASP and

Java Script.

Clients... I ve worked with: Eli Lilly and Co., ABC Sports, GE Medical, Miller

Brewing, Cummins Engine, RCA, Magnavox, Phillips, Bekins Van Lines,

GM, Humana Hospitals, Pioneer Seed, Delta Faucets, Hill Rom, Ford Motor

Co., Honeywell, Siemens, and many national and local advertising

agencies just to name a few.

Education... I have a BS, from Ball State University, 1979, Art major, specializing in

photography and filmmaking.

Personal... I m 55 years old, and have a wife and two daughters. I spend most of my

spare time with my family. I m an avid Formula 1 fan, and enjoy hiking

and photography when I have some extra time.
