collection instruments. Implemented projects in the health system, maintained data collection and
reporting systems, and prepared progress reports. Presented summary statistics at monthly meetings.
Manually cleaned and compared SAS data runs. Piloted follow-up survey tools and administered
structured telephone surveys to over 1,000 respondents. Trained colleagues to administer structured
surveys. Coordinated the submission of grant application renewals to federal and private institutions.
Wrote Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, edited, and resubmitted consent forms for proposed
projects and received final approvals. Created and coordinated a network of contacts from 30 skilled
nursing care facilities in New York to collect follow-up data.

Hospital to examine private physicians knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and practices regarding HIV testing
for pregnant women. Created a database in SPSS, input survey data, and provided preliminary analysis
for publication. Trained resident and attending physicians and their staffs to provide HIV pre- and post-
test counseling. Designed training materials and clinic brochures. Trained and supervised departmental
interns and volunteers.

Created an evaluation process for a Women's Health Curriculum offered by the Department. Wrote and
reviewed program outlines for the Curriculum, including a workshop on reproductive health. Designed

As part of the Demographic Yearbook s Cities Statistics Consolidation Project, used Brazil as a case
study to compare and evaluate the consistency of electronic meta-data and printed data for cities and
urban agglomerates. Tracked individual city estimates within a single source year and city trends for
multiple source years over time to review coding schemes. Reviewed and evaluated a database being
created to enter urban agglomerate and city proper data.

Worked with the Privacy and Confidentiality Committee and its External Advisory Committee to
organize, create, and review substantive content posted on the committee s website. Assisted in database
and website development and beta testing of the initial Privacy and Confidentiality Data Security site.
Edited and maintained the existing site. As part of Phase II of the initiative, drafted an outline for an
interactive and web-based training module illustrating statistical disclosure limitation techniques for a
broad audience.
