Primary Skills/Experience:

I have worked most of my life performing clerical duties, much of it in medical positions. I type a little over 100 wpm. I take pride in my analytical skills as well as the overall quality of my work. Possibly my strongest point is my skill of communication. I am able to talk to any sort of person and I am the unparalleled king of layman's terms. I am punctual, trustworthy, and I have a sense of humor. My ideal work environment is one at peace. I am very goal oriented. I am not always as quick in one hour as I am at another, therefore I set a goal for myself of what would be considered an exemplary job for a days work (both in quantity and quality) and ensure that this goal is met. This gives me peace and keeps my employer happy. Given time with my duties, I will become a master of them. I work well unsupervised and problem solving is second nature to me.

Core Accomplishments

Given quadruple promotion for BWI Incorporated, from Inventory Control Manger to Warehouse Manager. I manged approximately 30 employees (including 10 temps) and was in charge of hiring/dismissal and all typical management duties.

When Accredo Health removed the ability to see patients credit cards from all 1800 employees, I was the only exception to this rule and was given authority to reveal numbers on a case by case basis. Additionally, all problems with credit card changes came to my desk.

Chosen member of Accredo's "Fun Committee."

Prior to my BWI promotion, I was voted in as the warehouse representative/voice in plant meetings.

As a former administrative assistant for an architecture firm (LLW Inc.), all building proposals were initially brought to my desk to be mailed/faxed, but I took it upon myself to rewrite all these proposals in my own wording. The firm's owner simply asked to see the revised copy before sending it out. 100 percentage of my revisions were used.

When working for Wright Medical Technology, a manager was having great difficulty in representing where materials were allocated. Every day I took what we used, what was done, and through some elaborate finagling, I made it equal out. This involved a great deal of math and my manager was exceedingly happy with me for this. Upon leaving the company he stated, "I have no idea how I'm going to do this without you."

While at International Paper, an issue occurred whereby employees passwords were sporadically not working. I located the issue and spent weeks being told by supervisors that I was wrong (despite my 100 percentage success rate). Finally a supervisor heard my plight, argued politely, and told me if I could prove it, he would apologize to me in front of the whole company. At the next company meeting in front of hundreds, he did just that, then explained the solution to the issue which had affected a great many for however many months prior to my arrival.

Professional Experience

March 2004 to October 2011

Accredo Health Group (Formerly div of Medco, now Express Scripts) Memphis, TN

My duties varied from year to year. I was in charge of processing credit cards, talking to patients by phone about their statements. For a team I was the "problem person" whereby any difficult situation that a fellow employee could not solve, it made its way to my desk to resolve. Issued statements, dialog, etc. Reviewed patients to recommend for debt erasure. Dealt for a time specifically with the elderly. Worked with patient financial assistance.

December 2003 to August 2003

International Paper (contractual) Memphis, TN

Human Resources Rep

I took a temporary job in the Human Resources Department of International Paper. This particular company handles its HR different as it is run by a call center of sorts. I stayed here until I moved on to Accredo. At International Paper I spoke to employees both current and former about their benefits.

September 1998 to January 2000

University of Memphis Center for Community Health Memphis, TN

Office Associate

Multiple clerical duties. Was also chosen to give a pre-interview to potential new-hires to make recommendations to doctors on staff. Data entry, mail, many varied assignments. Frequently called staff within Congress to make requests for information. Non-profit organization doing research on the effects of smoking. Previously had been working for the University as an assistant in the law library.

December 1997 to December 1998

Handles all incoming calls, mail, worked Dictaphone machine. Reworded/edited building proposals for owners. Frequently came up with on the spot lies for the owners when they needed to be hard to get hold of or were in need of one excuse or another for the applicable situation.

January 1991 to January 1996

Wright Medical Technology Memphis, TN

Engineering Assistant

First off, I did not work for them for 5 years, but rather worked for them twice during this period. Originally as Dow Corning Wright, and then under their new moniker Wright Medical Technology. I did many and varied clerical duties for an industrial engineer their named Vance Clement. I aided in the process of chronological order for the manufacture of artificial bones/implants. Upon my return I was one of the processes itself as I managed and cut the initial raw materials.

March 1992 to October 1994

Bunch Wholesale Incorporated (BWI) Memphis, TN

Warehouse Manager

I was hired in as the Inventory Control Manager and was given one person to supervise. In time the companies warehouse coordinator (and brother to the companies owner) gave me a quadruple promotion to Warehouse Manager. I hired and dismissed employees as well as temporary workers. I managed the workforce and constantly improved methods of operation. Though I felt management was well suited to me (as my employees also felt), the company as a whole fell on hard times and layoffs were many in my plant and others.
