Authored OSHA/WISHA manual, compiling MSDS sheets for all products within the dental office, securing appropriate use, storage and environmentally safe disposal. Working with both state and federal regulations and communications with manufacturers and made executive decisions for care where none were provided.
Managed hazard waste disposal, radiation badges and testing and mercury disposal in addition to biological waste.
Lead Dental Assistant all 6 years including budget management, ordering and maintenance of all equipment and back office regulations and standards. Involved in interviewing and hiring process, trained all back office staff and guided Numerous Temporary Dental personnel during Desert Storm while employer, owner called to duty. Worked directly with Office Manager Kerri Yeasting to hire and manage the continued productivity and survival of dental practice.
Successfully incorporated Hygiene program for several offices with notable patient compliance resulting. Work well with others or autonomously with minimal supervision. Performing accelerated hygiene, Perform needed periodontal charting with assistance or alone (used voice operated headset and computer charted program once.), set up and break down of rooms, infection control, taking and developing radiography ( scanner and digital efficient), stocking and necessary household needs for office flow. I am comfortable giving anesthetic for the doctor and with rusty but able skill can stand in for dental assistants at chair side, for impressions, model, bleaching and night guard fabrication and delivery.
