Group Leader/ Acting Asst. Store Manager

Managed several stores in Washington and Oregon during the time the store was with out a store manager. I would do a store walk through and assign tasks per the store walk through results. Monitor the meat cutter so that best practices were used to prevent shrink Which in tales not cutting to much and not putting to much on each tray. Follow up with each associate prior to end of shift. Trained cashiers on best ways to prevent short tills and short change artist. Recommended to all cashiers to count the change back out loud Which resulted in very little short tills. Ensured that all tills and all cash on hand was counted accurately. Motivated all associates by working as an example showing them how to do it and which increased moral. I increased customer counts by 10 percentage in each store I went to and managed. I initiated a phrase to the group after each transaction " tell a friend". in which made the customer laugh and also reminded each customer to let someone know about us, due to the little advertising we did. Increased total customer satisfaction by 15 percentage on the customers who called in on the survey. Scheduling of all associates in the computer using the kronos time system. Ordered product to prevent shrink, by utilizing empty boxes to make aisles look full. Reduced meat shrink by utilizing a cutting list each day and following up at the end of the day with the meat cutter to insure it was done by the list. Advised all associates to follow all safety rules and practices. Prepared a task card to each associate prior to the start of each shift. Follow up at end of each shift with the associate on the task card and counsel as needed. Communicate how important customer service is to all associates everyday. Monitor sales versus hours used each day to be sure my SPEH is being met and adjust if needed. Input all cashiers sales and track them through a tracking spread sheet to insure all are at the standard. Standard being 25 rings per minute and 1000 sales per hour. input all invoices and orders in the computer so corporate can track what is coming and going through our store.
