Responsible for Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and Hawaii. This position required extensive knowledge of a very broad range of communication products, and their applications. My responsibilities were to rebuild and increase Hutton`s regional market share by expanding their customer base with new business, and to re-new the relationships with accounts that were lost after Hutton closed their Western Regional warehouse. I worked with manufacturers` representatives, attended trade

shows, and performed product demonstrations. Contacted local, regional, and national communication equipment suppliers and end users to help promote Hutton`s distribution channel.

Day Wireless Systems, Tacoma, WA - September 1999 to October 2003

Area Sales Manager and System Sales

Hired and trained two-way radio personnel, managed inside and outside sales for the Tacoma and Kent locations. Monitored sales activities and provided detailed reports directly to General Manager on a monthly and quarterly basis. I also handled the larger industrial and government accounts, including work on the State of Washington`s radio controlled high power audio lahar and tsunami warning systems. I worked with city and county utilities on designing and upgrading their fixed data telemetry systems. Major Achievements: During first 12 months increased two-way sales over 50% from previous 12 month period. Engineered, proposed, and sold a turnkey, UHF high power, multi-site county-wide mobile data network to Lakewood Washington`s Fire Department.
