Key Accomplishments
(2012-2001) mypower.irf.com - IR (Boulder, CO) [software architect, development team lead]
Architected, designed, & implemented online electrical simulation toolset used by
customers, partners and employees. Defined technology platform & portfolio, including
integration w/ disparate 3 rd party components. Lead small team systems and software
implementation, configuration, deployment and support. Evolved toolset to address other
product lines and evaluation modes. Fully internationalized at no cost. Established lean
dev process to minimize customer involvement and time to market, as well pipeline for
internationalized content management. Saved ~$1M in initial deployment.
java (struts, spring, wicket, tomcat), javascript (jquery+plugins, prototype, jsunit, jasmine, jslint), html 4+5, ajax,
css,xml,xsl-fo,xsl-t,xpath, SQL, PL/SQL (oracle), ant, maven, svn, bzr,hg,git, TDD, agile, automation
(2012-2008) mypower.irf.com IR (El Segundo, CA and Boulder, CO)
[customer engagement, PR, business strategy alignment, software development management]
Added management & marketing responsibilities to existing set (see prior item) when rest of
team was laid off in 2008, while increasing tool throughput. Expanded toolset to cohesively
cover entire product line. Migrated technology platform to javascript/html5 as js libraries
matured & provided consistent cross-platform behavior (prototype & jquery). Sold CEO &
rest of top execs on corporation-wide tools vision as key to new company revenue growth
strategy ($1B revenue => $2B).
(2005) software quality consultant BEA (Denver, CO) [software / architect+developer]
Part of 3-man consulting team from CREOSS representing BEA hired to vet the software
quality & maintainability, as well as overall SDLC and delivery characteristics, of a supplier
WAMU was considering for a mission-critical component for their ecommerce environment.
java/j2ee, oracle, agile
(2001-2000) inside.irf.com - IR (El Segundo, CA) [management, systems, software / project, team lead]
Led reimplementation to replace IT-administered & manually updated corporate
CMS/intranet/extranet. Scope included all aspects of all software (custom+3rd party),
hardware, networking, security, operations, disaster recovery, and user support. Performed
100% of software spec, coding, integration, & deployment. Result was 100% managed by
dept. admins via browser (no IT), including hierarchical authorization across groups & orgs
(suppliers, customers, reps and distributors). Led vendor negotiations (spec, SLA, costs).
java (pre-j2ee app server), oracle DCL/DDL/DML (+ webdb), SSL admin, http, tcp/ip, ethernet

Key Accomplishments (continued)
(2002) resumerabbit.com (Los Angeles, CA) [software / developer+operations]
Asked to step in to handle operations and some coding for a resume processing company to
facilitate departure of founding technical partner. Although there were many parts to
manually manage, there was no change to operational volume during my involvement.
java, javascript, rhino
(2000) cvi.net (El Segundo, CA) [software / lead developer]
Led 4-person team that designed, implemented & deployed web-based community intranet
framework on LAMP for web startup.
php, linux, html, javascript, mysql
(1999) webvision.com (Torrance, CA) [software / developer]
Implemented web-based forecasting system.
java, oracle
(1999-1997) fab5 - IR [power semiconductor / project lead]
Brought up new implementation of IR's custom Manufacturing Execution System (MES) as
part of team that built a new $50M R&D fab. Overall responsibility for customization &
management of MES, including new fab tool integration, y2k conversion. Responsible for
spec, design & implementation of entire building IT environment, from UPS, through cable
routing, user terminals, managing contractors. Managed a lean staff, while supporting
expansion of fab capabilities to include volume manufacturing in addition to core R&D.
SPN, COBOL, SECS II, ethernet, grapheq
(1998) BGI (Las Vegas, NV) [software / developer]
Developed prototype for web-based community communication system with Microsoft stack.
(1998) BGI [software / developer]
Developed PERL modules for web-based demographic-targeting ad display & reporting.
(1996) ir+ (web) - IR [power semiconductor, software / project & tech+dev lead]
Sole responsibility for reimplementation of ir+ (see next entry) as an online tool. Start to
finish in 3 months. Also managed non-technical interns for data update. Result: all IR
parts & competitor crosses online, with $0 capital costs
(1996 -1995) ir+ (diskette) - IR [power semiconductor, software / project lead]
Took over all aspects of production of IR's 1 st parametric search / cross reference software
( ir+ ). Aspects include power semiconductor data acquisition & compilation, user manual
content and printing, system build, volume distribution, training and promotion. Managed
3rd party development done in Italy. Brought to market after 3 different teams had failed.
(1995 -1994) Technical Assistance Center (TAC) - IR [semi. + systems / tech lead]
Specified, chose, configured, and developed systems and processes for new global 24/7
power semiconductor tech support service. This took 70%-80% of the load off of the high-
value Application Engineers, allowing them to focus on high-value customers.
(1994 -1991) IGBT product line - IR [power semiconductor / R&D staff]
Sole Product Engineer on team that grew revenue from $1M to $35M, with industry-leading
