Designed proof of concept of a unique pick up truck cover and introduced the client company to a unique pick up based camping product of my own invention. Cad tools used solidworks 2012.

June 2011 to may 2012 (B.C.M. Product Design & Invention )

worked on a mechanical solar positioning system for concentrating solar collectors, for both parabolic and trough designs, it will also work for P.V. type arrays (uses no electronics, motors or computers) also a device for home consumer refrigerators it should be as significant as the water and ice dispensers introduced in the early 1970ies, also worked on a twin Kolhler xt-7 engined front prototype mounted mower deck for atv`s.

capable of working effectively in winds as low as 6 knots (which is available in 80 % of the U.S.), also a unique CV transmission going from the turbine to the ground mounted generator. also invented a vertical shaft floating water wheel that will work in a slow stream environment, and can be mounted to almost any existing bridge to produce small scale or off grid power. also worked on a twin engine front mounted lawn mower for atv`s Cad tools when used: solidworks 2009 & catia v5 r17.

Aug. 06/2006 to NOV 06/2006 Aircraft Integration Corp.(contract Job) worked on Aircraft structures and black box shock mtg. for a C-130 gunship, did preliminary design familiarization and assessment of H-92 Sikorski structures upgrade for Sikorski C-60 Helicopter, wrote a paper on air conditioning recommendations for a Desert HUMV electronics` Carrier. And test procedure for a chaff and flare counter measures for C-60 Sikorski Helicopter. Cad tools used (Catia V5 r16)

Feb. 06/2006 to Aug 04/2006 (B.C.M. Product Design & Invention ) invented and worked on a prototype for a Revolutionary new type of Home air conditioner, did some patent searches at Vanderbilt U. patent library, worked on art work and description for provisional patent application. Tooling Designer / ME. Designed production tooling for new generation laptop disk drives. Responsible for designing automated assembly stations consisting of pneumatically operated disk locating pick and place units and nut feeders. Designs were machined and stamped metals, injection molded and machined plastic parts. CAD tool used was SDRC MS6. Familiar with part Modeler, Assembly and Drafting Modules. Applied ASME Y14.5M 1994 indust. std. specs.

1996 - 1998 Abbot Labs. - Irving, TX (contract- consultant)

Mechanical Designer / ME: Redesigned automated medical diagnostic blood testing systems. Utilized various manufacturing processes; V-process, Sand castings, Die castings, machined parts and injection molded plastic parts. Interfaced with vendors to insure quality, scheduling and costs targeted figures. Reviewed designs for cost reductions. CAD tool used was SDRC MS6. Model, Assembly and Drafting Modules. Applied ASME Y14.5M 1994 std. Cost reduction project, 3 large castings, 175 machined parts combined into 3... cost savings 1.2 million dollars annually.

1994-1996 Texas Instruments, Dallas (direct-job)

Production Engineering group MC Kinney Facility Mechanical Designer / ME / Tool Designer: responsible design and documentation of assembly and manufacturing production tooling for various, electro-mechanical and optical projects. These were, Jig and fixture design for FLIR and radar projects. Also designed the mechanical end of a Phased Array high Voltage power supply and Compressor assemblies. CAD tool used: PRO-E 14.

1988-1994 Texas Instruments Military Computer Project: (direct-job) Spring Creek Facility, (T.I.) Responsible for planning and conducting major segments of projects, concept design through final detail design and implementation. Conceptualized, designed, and detailed mechanical packaging on ATF-MDP, and 1750A computer modules for Lockheed`s advanced (F-22) tactical fighter. This effort included Furnace Brazed Pin fin Cooling Assemblies, and use of advanced composite structures, sheet metal, machined metal and fiber optic data relay. Also worked on MC-2 smart mine for Textron and flight, control systems upgrades for General Dynamic`s F-16 flight control computers. This effort replaced a previous five on board computers with one.(PRO-Er6 & AUTOCAD 10)

1986 - 1988 Texas Instruments Missile Systems Group: Lewisville Facility, (T.I.) (direct-job)

Did preliminary design on (Javelin) fire and forget anti-tank missile, including overall packaging concept including mock up, proposal and working missile. Effort included airframe, launcher, warhead, guidance section, visible and I-R gun sights. This design incorporated high-strength light-weight alloy machined parts, cast and machined plastic, ceramic, optical, and thin film expendable seal parts.( AUTOCAD 7.5 and drawing bd )

1985 - 1986 Texas Instruments Electro Optics Group: Gaston Ave. Facility, (T.I.) (direct-job)

Conceptualized, designed and detailed XM1, XK1, TTS and Commanders CCD Gun sight relay. These design efforts were shoot on the move fire control systems for the Abrams M1A1 A2-A3 main battle tank for the U.S. Army and the Republic of South Korea respectively. I inherited an unworkable, unfinished design and had to totally redesign it to a workable solution

with major part count and cost reductions. Major design problems consisted of wide and narrow field of view switching system for both visible and I-R gun sights and a 2-axis gyro stabilized head mirror, remote control sight to gun slave linkages, optical stabilization platforms, ballistic computer packaging, laser range finder, steel band drive, auto-focus I-R and Visible telescopes.

1981 - 1984 Texas Instruments Electro Optics Group: Forest la. Facility, (T.I.) (direct-job)

M1-TTS adapted and upgraded tank thermal imaging system from an M-60 for use on the Abrams M1 main battle tank. Types of parts included gear trains, lens barrels and retainers, a focal switching system, auto-focus and vignetting auto-iris design, cam linkage, and gun slave hardware. I also worked AIRS & ETAS projects. AIRS was the I-R driver viewer for the M-60 and M1 main battle tanks. This effort involved very dense electro-optical mechanical packaging. Design included gear driven focus adjustments, wide and narrow field of view remote switching system, 60 Hz optical scanner, Dewar, and cryogenic cooler. ETAS was an elevated target acquisition system mounted on a personnel carrier. Design involved 2-axis head mirror design, remote control 4 field of view switching system, stepper motor driven iris, C02 laser range finder auto-telescoping sensor elevation system, computer packaging, remote CRT .

1980 George Good and Associates, 12606 Greenville Ave, Dallas Tx. (direct-job).

Mechanical Designer / ME / Drafting supervisor. Assignments included mechanical design for cable television company control center for Dallas area. Electro-mechanical packaging, standard rack and panel design, hand held remote control. Control and printed circuit pogo pin board tester.
