Designed, engineered and oversaw the construction of the chemical injection systems for large powerhouses and waste water treatment plants.

GM Tier I Contract Experience

As a Tier I Contract Manager I was responsible for administering a Tier l Chemical Utilities Management Account with substantial service requirements for the GM Buick City Automotive Complex located in Flint Michigan. The account value was 1.5 million dollars and I had a staff of three to manage the contract. I was responsible for procuring, billing and receiving chemicals and equipment as well as servicing all aspects of the contract including safety and cost savings. I also was responsible for putting together bid specifications as well as awarding bid proposals and policing the contracts.

The contract included working with 10 different factory types including metal stamping, automotive assembly, body welding, engine production, plastic parts manufacturing, transmission manufacturing and steam and cooling operations. Aspects of this job included profit and loss reporting, employee management and customer management. During my tenure (eight years), no plant had any downtime related to my team`s activities as site manager.

The contract was also to administer on-site powerhouse and cooling water consulting. This role encompassed on site utility cost savings programs to include: Water, Thermal, Energy savings plans in the powerhouse and waster treatment systems. Cooling

tower systems were also subjected to savings programs as well as proper administering of chemicals.

Coating Experience:

As the Service Manager at Detrex Chemical I problem solved coating problems for aluminum pretreatment, heavy zinc-phosphate conversion coating, calcium modified zinc-phosphating and iron phosphating systems as well as E-Coating systems. Responsibilities included monitoring salt spray corrosion cabinet, Humidification testing cabinet and bath quality testing and maintenance. Paint adhesion and corrosion testing was performed in accordance with ASTM and Military Specifications. Systems serviced included areas throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Water Treatment Experience:

Worked as both a customer service representative and a company owner as a water treatment consultant. Have operated waste water treatment systems, powerhouse steam and air compressor systems, chilled water systems, weld water body shop systems, paint detackification systems, paint shop humidification systems, paint detackification systems and general cooling tower systems.

Interpersonal and Teamwork Skills

Managed a 250 man Infantry Company during missions in the U.S. Army Reserve.

Excellent interpersonal skills used to resolve problems.

Received the coveted -No Lost Business Award- nine years in a row.
