LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

Since 2005, I have worked as a Lead Planning and Financial Controls Analyst for two separate programs at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL). As the lead, I am responsible for coordinating other analysts in processing and transmitting budget and financial reports to DOE-ID and other INL customers. I function as the Business Lead when they are on vacation, which includes attending director?s staff meetings, filtering financial questions, and providing guidance to my co-workers when needed.

Additionally as the Lead, I provide training, guidance, and support to my co-workers when requested, which includes new hires as well as seasoned analysts.

Currently, I am in charge of preparing the Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) Programs? Monthly Financial Report as required by the Department of Energy (DOE). This includes gathering and compiling data from various sources into an approved format. The format consists of technical and financial text, graphics, and spreadsheets. After preparing the report, it is reviewed and approved by the ATR Director and Deputy Director and sent electronically to DOE Headquarters, Naval Reactors, and various other INL customers. I also coordinate the printing and distribution of hard copies to those that have requested a copy such as the INL President and his direct staff.

- Develop and maintain fiscal year budgets and baseline schedules through various computer programs such as P6, Cobra, and IPS2000. Also, review and ensure budgets and schedule are within DOE and BEA management objectives.

- Analyze budgets to actual costs labor and non-labor weekly and monthly. Variances are through monthly reports, power point slide presentations and meetings with management.

- Develop spreadsheets to communicate funds, budgets, costs, and other financial information to management upon request.

- Communicate funding needs monthly and through an annual DOE budget call.
