Managed a plant with up to 120 associates across 3 shift operation. Assisted in creating a leadership team to take responsibility for Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvements and Cost. Worked closely with engineering, quality and customers to achieve the highest record for delivery, quality, safety and teamwork. Took on added responsibilities of Plant 2 operation in March 2012 and lead the team to 1--% on time delivery to various customers.

2000 2011

Operation Manger ~ Bel Stewart Connector ~ September 2000 ~ February 2011 Responsible for all aspects of operation at a connector manufacturing plant including, safety, quality, staffing, delivery, continuous improvement, inventory and capacity planning Managed a plant with up to 150 associates across 3 shifts producing a wide range of highly engineered connectors and cable assemblies for the telecommunication industry. Helped to develop a highly skilled group of leader and supervisors in the production and maintenance roles. Implemented lean manufacturing principles to reduce product inventories and improve cash flow. Reduced in process inventories from days to hours. Developed short and midterm plans to effectively utilize capitol and manpower. Under my leadership, the average cost saving in manufacturing and quality a year of $250k, Reduce operating cost and scrap reductions of 50%. Managed a plant through chapter 11 filing and the down turn of the dot com era. Restructured labor and management to return the plant to profitability during severe recession.

1993 2000

Assembly Superintendent ~ Stewart Connector Inc. January 1993 ~ September 2000 Responsible for high mix low volume hand assembly operations and high volume low mix cable assemblies. Responsible for the Automation department in assembling and packaging RJ45 cat 3 cat 6jack assemblies. Assisted in the stat up of our Mexico facility in Cannae Mexico with p to 2000 associates at one time. Traveled and trained our partners in Mexico for 3 plus years on operation management. Including manufacturing training of associates on the manufacturing floor, quality, inventory control and Justin time methodology. Identified training needs of production workforce. Worked with all departments to meet and exceed our goals and objectives.

Manufacturing Supervisor ~ Stewart Connector Inc. ~ July 1990 ~ January 1993 Responsible for planning and scheduling shift executing on time to commit. Scrap reduction in all departments of 25%. Evaluated operations to improve through put, cell manufacturing in the pre insertion department. Developed training plans and goals for the manufacturing associates.

Manufacturing Supervisor Olin Corp. General Defense Flinchbaugh Operations

Earned a series of promotions leading to Manufacturing supervisor. Installed new product line in the country of Turkey including training and set up of various equipment to produce 105mm projectiles. Trained team members to perform the required quality and machine checks.
