Highlight of Skills
Leadership and Vision
I work with 34 school districts to develop and maintain programs of services to serve the
needs
of 30,000 students and 2,600 teachers.
Academic Technologies Team Leader: Currently leading a team of 13 colleagues across all
departments at ESU 10 in building a framework of student centered learning. This project
includes eLearning support, providing creative services, building appropriate learning
spaces,
media sharing, and technology research and development.
2012 NETA President-Elect: In this role, I am prioritizing membership benefits by
partnering
with others to organize and provide great technology professional development
opportunities.
Educational Environment
I have been in education technology since 1993, starting as an Internet Specialist at
the
University of Nebraska at Kearney. The last 15 years have been in K12 education.
I build capacity in others by providing relevant professional development opportunities
and
establishing collaborative and social learning environments for teachers and students.
We have co-developed a unique combination of the Understanding by Design framework and
current technologies to provide online learning environments to 54 districts across 5
ESUs.
Technology and Support
Throughout my career in education technology, I have built, maintained, and supported a
variety of network, server, and device management implementations.
I have established and use a myriad of tools to facilitate effective communications
including
voice and video solutions, websites, custom email solutions, electronic lists, and
others.
Use of both hard and soft data that has been collected to help all stakeholders drive
decisions
related to the success and goals of the education process at hand.
