Firm News
Many great things are happening at the firm.
In the last month...
--We obtained Social Security benefits for a young lady who had been denied. After the
appeal, on remand, the Administrative Law Judge worked with us to set up a plan to get
this young lady back on track.
-- Another individual, unable to work due to crippling disabilities, was denied twice for
social security benefits. We helped him receive what he needs to survive.
-- A young man, crippled with learning and mental disabilities from birth, was denied
benefits because he once worked in a program designed for such individuals. Now unable to
work, we got him the benefits he needs.
-- Hired as a temporary local police, a young man was promised a full time position. The
town later changed its mind in light of Civil Services requirements that would impede the
young man from becoming full time. We petitioned Civil Service and worked with the town to
help this young man reach full time status. His career is now on track.
-- Pulmonary Fibrosis is a crippling and terminal disease. After being told that he was
ineligible for Accidental Retirement, a municipal came to us for help. Not only did we
ensure that he is taken care of, but we also fought to get benefits for his wife at his
passing.
-- A town unilaterally decided to discontinue its 'Step' raises for municipal employees.
As representatives for the municipal employees' union, we fought to reinstate the 'Step'
raises retroactive to the first of this year.
