Summary
I'm a detail-oriented person who finds joy in being both effective and efficient. This
has been my way of working since I began designing Web pages back in 1996. Since then, my
responsibilities have shifted from designer/artist to developer/engineer and back, over
and over again. I believe this experience makes me unique because I've become both
efficient and effective in both the "visual" and the "functional". And, I'm constantly
learning new and better ways to solve problems in both areas.
In my mind, a Web application becomes a "work of art" when it is attractive and user-
friendly AND fast, secure, reliable, and easy to maintain. Quality both inside and
out...that is my goal in Web development.

Recommendations For Jay
Lead Web Developer
Access Development
I had the chance to work with Jay on and off over a span of 4 years at Access
Development. He was always enjoyable to work with and an asset to the team. He takes all
assignments very seriously both large and small and still manages to have a good sense of
humor and make things fun. Jay has a gift for being able to quickly analyze a problem and
come up the the most efficient, effective solution. He is a technical thinker and I
learned a lot while working with him. Also - he really likes the song "Panama" by Van
Halen. January 8, 2011
Jesse Harding, Senior Web Designer, Access Development
worked directly with Jay at Access Development
Jay is a thorough, efficient, and creative problem solver. He thrives on taking on
difficult projects and when necessary he can quickly learn new skills to find the most
elegant development solution.
Jay does not know how to cut corners. Whether he is working on a user interface or a
detailed technical solution, you will get top-quality work from Jay. It is rare to see
someone like Jay with a balance of strong creative design skills and strong technical
proficiency.
Simply stated, Jay delivers. I have not been able to give him any project or problem that
he has not been able to solve. He is reliable, honest, and productive. I highly recommend
Jay for any Web development or design project. November 18, 2010
Hadley Soffe, Web / Interactive Manager, Access Development

Jay is one of those hard working and straight talking individuals you always enjoy
working with. I had the pleasure of working with Jay for a couple years during which time
I learned he is much more than a developer. Jay's talent extends to design where he is
able to convert the customer's ideas into good looking solutions. If you can help it
always have someone like Jay on your team. October 31, 2010
