Statement of Research Interests:
My research examines the transformative role of ecology and environmentalism in the
discourse
of twentieth century design. Particular focus has been placed on the notion of process as
both a
pattern of thought, and a naturally occurring environmental pattern. To date analysis has
concentrated on the work of the landscape architects Ian McHarg and Lawrence Halpri n.
