WORK OF EXPERIENCE

January 2009- May 2011. Flow For Love of Wine. Albany, NY

Assistant Manager/Wine Expert. Part-time. Wine-classes Tuesday& Wednesday nights at 7pm.

Learning& teaching the masses about the many wonderful wines of the world. Food-wine

pairings. Tasting roughly 300 different varietals monthly. Selecting and ordering wines

for the shoppe&community under excellent tutelage. Excellent communication skills and

networking. Certified in Wine and Food Pairings.

Sept. 2008-Present. New Visions of Albany. Slingerlands, N.Y.

Assistant Manager. Shift Coordinator. Promoted and relocated after two months of service.

Working with nine medically frail individuals with mental disadvantages. Managing a

residential home in the absence of the Program Manager, accompanying residents to medical

appointments, ordering medications, communicating with agency s pharmacy to secure proper

medication delivery, implementing daily service goals, documenting daily progress, writing

monthly summaries for the Director of Residential Services, transporting residents on

community activities, supervisor of staff on shift, assisting manager with monthly

scheduling, monthly meal planning, teaching and stressing personal cleanliness by

implementing daily ADL routines, supervising residents in their personal finances,

responsible for petty cash, food stamps, assisting residential nurse with medical

decisions, and providing a safe and secure working atmosphere for both staff and residents

alike. Training in CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, Wound Care, Oxygen, Consumer

Rights, Incident Reporting/Abuse Prevention, Fire Safety, Hepatitis B/HIV/AIDS/Bloodborne

Pathogens, and Tuberculosis.

Residential Counselor. Working with individuals with varying mental disadvantages,

providing basic health and care services including food preparation, time management,

creative entertainment, maintaining personal hygiene, and community integration. Training

Teacher s Aide & Tutour. Working with youth ages 4-8 in a primary grammar school.

Providing home tutouring in two households for children with medical disabilities, i.e.

phifer s syndrome & esophageal atresia. Training in behavioral management, realizing

potential indicators of violence, sign language, stress management, deescalating

strategies, Harcourt Reading & Saxon Math K, I, II.
