S AIC F alls Church, Va (Disa Complex)
Responsible for managing the BCME Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) documentation
and the non-DIACAP deliverables. This is an ongoing activity.
Act as the Information Assurance Officer (IAO) for the BCME Test Lab IA machine and possibly
the other machines in this lab. This work involves identifying, documenting, and then
performing the functions defined for the IAO in the UNIX STIG and the Application Security

I became versatile in testing BCME applications from both the functional and the IA
perspectives. Understanding functional testing is required in order to be able to test effectively
the application s IA security posture. This work means being able to install and configure the
SOSCOE and WMIS systems as well as the applications. Once this is done, I was able to
lockdown the system and begin testing the application s security posture and record and
interpret the results. Finally, the processes and procedures developed to this work was to be

documented and refined over time.
As the Battle Command Mission Execution (BCME) IAO, and starting with the BCME System
Test Lab IA machine, I was responsible for developing a plan to lock down the system with
