I am over the Front Desk Employees, I make sure that they are giving the best customer care to our guests. If there is some kind of problem, I take care of it, if I can't, I take it to the GM. I am Manager on Duty at night time. Making sure the hotel is running smoothly. I enjoy meeting all our guests from everywhere. I expect the front desk to treat everyone with respect, and make our guests feel at home. I take care of the ordering of supplies & work closely with the GM.

doing all I can to make their stay memorable. Our staff got along so well, we were like
Family. I answered the phones, took reservations, checked out guests, worked well with
my GM. Whatever he needed me to do, I would help him I prepared the registration cards and key cards for the evening shift. I would ask the Head Housekeeper what rooms were ready if someone
wanted to check in early. I also prepared for the housekeepers if their, manager wasn't there, a list of rooms for them to clean. I always made sure that our front desk was clean and ready. I prepared
Goodie bags for our Priority Club guests, and other duties that I enjoyed doing. It was a wonderful job,
That I took seriously but hadn't felt like a job, but a service to others. I would like to continue in Mississippi.

I helped women that came in to feel better about themselves, by consulting with them, and finding their needs, weighing and measuring them, and then showing them how to use the machines. I loved being there for them. I had to run my office also by answering phones, computer work, payroll, etc.
Reason for leaving: Due to low economy, I had to close my business.
07/1998-01/2003 (Nutrisystem) Columbus, Ms (Manager)
I helped people to lose the weight that they want to lose and help them to feel better about themselves. I oversaw the office with it's daily functions. Did the paperwork, ordered food and met with the clients, measuring, weighing and just talking with them. I also filled their food orders.
Reason for leaving: Due to Nutrisystem wanting to just use television and internet orders. We were closed.
03/1996-07/1998 (Columbus Insurance Services) (Receptionist)
I answered phones, computer work, faxing, paid bills, in put insurance applications and any changes that needed to be made. The clients that came in I would send them to who they needed to see. I did other typing for others in the office.
Reason for leaving: Opportunity to become the manager of Nutrisystem after losing the weight that I did.
Education
High School education. Graduated in June 1972 in Chula Vista, Ca.
Relevant Experience
I can type, work on the computer, answer phones, and meet people, In jobs prior to Columbus Ins. I worked in the retail business as cashiers, supervisor, & worked on the floor. At another couple of places, I worked in the cash office, counting money bags, counting cashiers tills, cashed checks, Dealt with customers with credit payments, etc. I also answered phones. I also have some experience in the program QuickBooks. I enjoy meeting new people as well as reconnecting with former customers, like I did at the Holiday Inn Express. I enjoy making the guests feel at home and be there for them, to meet all their needs and want them to feel that they want to come back. I am willing to learn all that I can to improve on my skills. I want to make the workplace a place that makes people that I work with feel like family.
