Full Time Fourth & 5th Grade-Utilization of Curriculum along with development of

personal/professional resources ensured each child was successful in 4th grade. Cohesive

integration of technology with classroom instruction ensured students received the best

possible exposure to every educational experience. Current class learned and utilized word

processing and digital imaging software, including digital photography, to publish class

newspaper and update class websites. 74% of students met or exceeded state standards for

the Math and 96% of students met or exceeded the state standards for Language Arts during

the 2005 MEAP Test. Students consistently score in the top 25% of the school in

Accelerated Reader Program. Coordinated with Counseling, Special Education, and Title-1

personnel as needed. Co-sponsored school wide in-service training for 6 Trait Writing

Program. Developed lesson packets and presented digital program that trained all 4th and

5th grade teachers. 4th Grade Chairman for Professional Learning Communities (PLC).

Greatly improved professional coordination among all 4th grade staff as well as 5th grade

staff in our building. Co-authored all Language Arts, Writing, and Math Maps for 4th

Committee goals to 2001 North Central Accreditation (NCA) Board, and attendee to ISD MEAP

Worked with Elementary Profile Committee to collate and analyze data in order to develop a

contact information, lunch menus, class projects, awards information, and educational

website/software information suitable for grade level student utilization. Authored,

developed, and maintained school website providing community with school information on

teachers, programs, support personnel, as well as valuable Internet links for student

utilization. Member, District Technology Committee; collaborating and deciding issues

directly related to the District and State Technology Plan, as well as integrating current

technology issues in the classroom environment. Designed, implemented, and reported

Technology Survey to the Superintendent to provide most current Cherry Street School needs

and desires in accordance with district budget and curriculum concerns. Worked with

Elementary PTA to raise funds and found new Cherry Street Chess Club. Nearly 50 of 200

students were members, learning valuable problem solving and thought processing skills

this year. Team qualified for the State Elementary Championships, finishing 24th at

for class fundraising project for Cystic Fibrosis and Leukemia. Winner, 2005 Lamplighter

Full Time Second Grade-Utilization of Curriculum Guide in concert with development of

professional resources consistently ensured the successful completion of each class

school year. Co-authored Michigan Department of Education Technology Innovation Challenge

Grant, providing $90,000 for computer improvements to the district. Authored Dollar

General Corporation Interactive Literacy Workstation Grant, providing $500 for classroom

software which helped raise Metropolitan Achievement Test (MAT-7) scores from the 40th to

the 60th percentile nationwide in only second year of teaching. Coordinated with

Counseling and Title-1 personnel as needed. Served on North Central Accreditation Math,

School Technology, and Grade Level Curriculum Development Committees.

Extended Guest Teacher (3rd Grade) Performed 6 weeks of guest teaching duties during an

extended medical leave of absence. Utilization of district curriculum, existing, and

personal resources enabled the class to successfully complete school year. Coordinated

with staff to perform lesson planning, remedial instruction, assessment, midterm and final

grade reports, parent conferences, staff meetings, summer school enrollment

recommendations, and end of year inventory and checkout procedures. Significantly improved

teaching and classroom management techniques.

Summer School Teacher (2nd Grade) Designed, implemented, and assessed in-depth reading

and math curriculum for a class of at-risk 2nd grade students. Effective utilization of

the Flynt-Cooter Reading System enabled the class to read over 30 books during the 5-week

course. Additionally, hands-on instruction empowered students to significantly improve

clock, money, and two-place addition and subtraction skills.

United States Air Force

AWACS Mission Electronic Systems Training Superintendent Managed administration of

training for Air Force s largest Programmed Flying Training Program. Motivated instructors

to produce largest student graduation in AWACS history during 1992. Coordinated and

scheduled academic, simulator, and in-flight training during Operation Desert Storm in

addition to flying over 100 hours of AWACS combat missions.

AWACS Standardization & Evaluation Superintendent Worked at Wing Headquarters level to

implement Stan/Eval program working directly with the Boeing and Westinghouse companies to

validate sophisticate hardware and software developments for mission systems. Authored

rewrite for Air Force Specialty Knowledge Promotion Fitness Examination at the USAF

Occupational Measurement Center.
