profitability. I actively lead all aspects of the company, including strategy, marketing,
merchandising, business development, IT, operations and finance.
My experience with AJ Prindle, along with my years in management consulting, have given
me a wide range of skills and experiences across multiple business segments and functions.
I have learned to quickly take in a large amount of information and come up with new
perspectives and cohesive solutions.
WORK EXPERIENCE
AJ Prindle & Co., LLC, President & COOJul 2000Present
AJ Prindle & Co. is a company started by Ford Motor Company to help consumers outfit
their vehicles to fit their lifestyle soccer moms, commuters, tailgaters, road trippers,
mobile professionals, etc. The company started as a mail order catalog and web store
www.ajprindle.com and later expanded to offer promotional marketing services to
automotive companies. The company was acquired by private investors in 2002 and a
strategic investor in 2007.
Set the overall strategic direction for the company. Recognized early that at a B2C web-
only business would not be sustainable and moved to create a mail-order catalog channel
and a corporate sales channel.
Hired the talented team needed to rapidly grow the business and put in place bonus plans,
recognition awards, and meeting structures to keep the team motivated, unified, and
informed.
Worked with employees, contractors, and vendors to build an infrastructure that
integrated operations, financials, webstore, fulfillment center, and call center.
Directed a rapid evolution of the catalog and web site based on sales results, focus
groups, and team insights. Grew revenue an annualize rate of over 50% from 2003-2007 and
was recognized as one of The Top 200 Catalogs in 2006 and 2007 by Catalog Success
Magazine.
Secured and implemented AJ Prindle s first major corporate program: the 2002 Ford
Explorer. AJ Prindle sourced and fulfilled over 10,000 incentive gifts to spur vehicle
test drives and purchases. The program was extremely successful, generating 360% ROI for
Ford and $1.1 million in revenue for AJ Prindle.
Subsequently grew the corporate business channel to a $9 million business unit by
expanding to other vehicle manufacturers and regional and dealer-level business.
Managed the process to find new investors in 2002 and 2007. Key roles included developing
the business plan, organizing search efforts, contacting potential investors, responding
to due diligence, and working with attorneys on term sheets, purchase agreements, and
operating agreements.
After the company was acquired in 2002, restructured for rapid profitability by cutting
fixed operating costs by over 70% and focusing on the more profitable corporate business.
Included layoffs, moving facilities, and migrating to new vendors for fulfillment, call
center, web hosting and catalog creative services.
Successfully achieved first month of profitability in August 2002, only four months into
restructuring and sixteen months after launch. Generated over $300,000 in positive cash
flow at the end of 2002.
Drove internet marketing efforts: developing email campaigns; retaining and managing
agency for search engine marketing; and directing developer on site upgrades to improve
conversion rates.
Implemented a successful marketing program with Amazon that generated over $400,000 in 12
months at a return on ad spend (ROAS) of 800%.
Led the company through a brand review including developing an online survey and working
with an agency to conduct customer interviews. Analyzed results to drive new, more
defendable brand position.

Ford Unlimited was a business incubator started by Ford Motor Company. The group was
established by Jac Nasser, then CEO of Ford, to develop new consumer businesses that would

Worked with a talented team to develop the initial idea for AJ Prindle. The business idea
was based on the realization that over 66 million drivers don t feel their vehicle it
outfitted to meet their needs, and many of these drivers don t know where to find the
