Employment Highlights:

Xerox Corporation - Corporate Security: 11/2006 to present

I currently hold the title of Brand Protection

Manager/Investigator in the Corporate Security Brand Protection Group. In this role I am involved in investigations of the illegal sale of Xerox products in the gray and black markets, trademark infringements and the theft of Xerox owned equipment and supplies at customer sites. I manage the relationship between Corporate Security, the Supplies Business Group, the Brand Protection Supplies Group and the Office of General Council within Xerox. I led an investigation into fraud by a contract parts supplier who was working in tandem with Xerox employees. This investigation revealed an ongoing scheme to defraud Xerox out of millions of dollars over several years. The outcome resulted in several employee terminations, ten federal indictments and an annual savings of over $1 million dollars to Xerox. This investigation remains an ongoing federal criminal prosecution led by the US Attorney's Office and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.

Rochester Police Department: 12/4/1985 through 10/30/2006

During my twenty-one year career with the Rochester Police Department, I held numerous positions including ranks of Officer, Investigator, Sergeant and Lieutenant.

As an Officer I held the positions of patrol officer, section coordinator and field training officer. As a section coordinator I was responsible for the review off all reports generated within my assigned section for accurate information and would assign cases for investigative follow-up. Upon being promoted to the rank of Sergeant, I was assigned a platoon of ten Officers. I would review crime trending and problem areas with these Officers on a daily basis and make assignments based on this information. I would conduct performance reviews and schedule training for Officers needing to refresh their skills. During this time I also had the opportunity to start a new investigative team, named the Violent Crime Team. This team was a multi jurisdictional Gun/Violence Task Force consisting of law enforcement officers from the Rochester Police Dept., Monroe County Sheriff's Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, New York State Attorney General's Office and the New York State Police. This team of investigators conducted numerous complex long term investigations of gun sales and trafficking, illegal narcotic sales, drug trafficking distribution networks, street gangs and targeted people and groups that had committed multiple homicides. During my tenure leading this team, we received numerous local, state and a national award for the work we performed.

I was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and managed a team of three Sergeants and 30 Officers. I would fill in as Staff Duty Officer on weekends and holidays where I would be responsible for all police related activities during my shift.
