Accomplishments:
Offered curriculum development, training and consulting in comprehensive sexual health to
agencies that serve women impacted by trauma, sexual violence, and substance abuse.
Authored a 32-hour curriculum and instructed high-risk women on sexual health choices
aimed at reducing the risk of HIV/STI s transmission and relapse.
Conducted and coordinated over 400 educational programs, training and conferences
involving subject matters such as: sexual and physical abuse, adolescent sexual health,
crisis prevention, medication education, women s sexual health, stress management, alcohol
and drug abuse, care management, children s mental health issues, wellness, health
promotion, professional development, and communications.
Co-authored and implemented an innovative, statewide skill-focused curriculum aimed at
providing training to over 200 professionals on educational technologies to improve
quality of services to persons with disabilities.
Developed curricula and instructed over 500 graduates and undergraduate students in
subject areas such as: human sexuality, health promotion and prevention, behavioral change
interventions, and counseling.
Served as project manager for a 6 million, 3 year jointly sponsored mental
health/vocational rehabilitation grant, for the creation of state-of-the-art employment
opportunities to over 1,000 persons affected by severe mental illness.
