Identify, modify and or create use cases, page descriptions and mock ups, interface design documents, batch job runbooks, Visio flow charts, and holistic system design documents. Maintain version control of the documents using Rational Clear Case, and Rational Requisite Pro.

Identify any necessary data clean up or changes that will need to be made prior to implementation.

Identify opportunities for monitoring performance measures via reports and other system tools.

System Design

Participate in mini-design session prior to coding with developers to review design documents and requirements and answer any questions that may arise.

Work closely with developers during coding and unit testing to resolve any problems or questions. Monitor the completion of Maintenance Change Requests (MCR), Document Updates (DU), defects, and system and performance testing using Rational Clear Quest. Work closely with various teams to identify potential system constraints and cross functionality impacts.

Integration and Testing

Work with system testers to create testing scenarios and validate system functionality meets business and system requirements. Participate in user validation meetings and provide guidance in validating functionality and usability.
