I have researched and designed a new studio philosophy for the CMA, which is implemented
through a variety of programming for all ages. Doodles is a family program which ties an
open-ended studio project with art in the CMA galleries. Studio Thinking Workshops are
studio challenges/workshops I have created to partner with a docent-led tour of the
galleries. I have designed CMA Birthday Parties to incorporate a studio component, as well
as interactive games in the galleries, thematic music, decor, costumes, and more.
Other initiatives: I am host of CMA s Game Show, an adult program where audience members
are asked to compete in creative challenges. I curate CMA s Community Gallery, a space for
student and community exhibitions, where we exhibit and reward the creative process along
with the end product. This requires collaboration with the curatorial and design
departments as well as outside educators. I have also begun hosting Scouts @ CMA days for
local scout organizations.
Other duties include leading professional development and corporate workshops, leading
tours, helping with school programs, and mentoring/supervising student teachers, interns,
and contingent staff.
