Appointed to position of Department chair in 2007. Tasked with assuming managerial
responsibilities in day-to-day operations of 20 full-time faculty, administrative support
staff,
graduate and undergraduate student assistants. Major tasks and accomplishments achieved
in
areas of strategic planning and budgeting, course scheduling, innovative program
development
and delivery, human resources management, and representing the Department before

In 2003 promoted to position of Public Administration Council chair and Master of Public
Administration program director for main and off-campus programs. Provided leadership in
the
reinvigoration of graduate program; culminating in a robust off-campus cohort delivery
model
serving some 150 students annually. Initiated process for what would become successful
professional national accreditation of the graduate degree program. Promoted to rank of
full
