PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Graduate Research Assistant, University of Central Lancashire, Preston, UK. 2011- present

Investigated time-course effects of Momordica charantia extract on cell viability in various cancer cell lines.

Investigated the dose dependent effects of Momordica charantia extract and, momocharin on cell viability in various cancer cell lines and the combined effects of Momordica charantia extract and, momocharin with temozolomide and vinblastine on cell viability and apoptotic pathways.

Investigated the modes, cellular, and molecular mechanisms of actions of Momordica charantia extract and, momocharin in inducing cancer cell death.

Investigate the dose-dependent toxic effects of the vinblastine, cisplatin and temozolomide on cancer cell viability using different types of cancer cells using confocal microscope.

Identified the dose-dependent cytotoxic effects of Momordica charantia extracts and vinblastin on the viability of glioma cells using proliposome formulations.

Developed and validated by UV and Reverse phase HPLC method for the simultaneous quantification of Levocetirizine and Pseudoephedrine in tablet and syrup form and Nebivolol and Amlodipine in tablet form.

Identified the different elements and the level of the in cell culture medium which is uptake by the cancer cells before and after anti cancer drug treatment and was measured using ICP-MS.

Transferred technology to our development partners, thus conserving in-house resource for new projects. Supervised and led a number of successful research projects with three temporary employees over 1 year.

Formulation R&D, Dr. CL Analytical lab Chennai, India. (2006-2007)

Developed once daily controlled release dosage forms for antibiotics.

Supervised tablet production and optimized production parameters for hygroscopic drug

Molecules.
