Objective

To obtain a position with challenging tasks, job satisfaction and future potential growth in a pleasant working environment.

Experience

05/2006-09/2012

District Sales Manager

I was previously a District Sales Manager for Sherwin Williams Automotive Division. I supplied paint for one large client which is NAPA/GPC. I supplied automotive paint to NAPA stores that want to sell paint to the end user, the body shops or fleets. With in my responsibilities I had to train, educate and encourage a strong technical product line. I helped NAPA supply their customers with training and demos. There are certifications that need to be maintained as well as a continued educational need for the continuous changes in the industry. Over all I was responsible for numbers, whether they are my set quotas from the sales, I have a P&L that needs to be maintained and other functions that are met by meeting the quotas set. I continued to hold a strong knowledge of my industry but the key point in this trade as well as anything else is my "people skills". I have a strong passion for people and the work that I do. I build strong relationships because of my discipline of follow through, knowledge and honesty. I believe that products dont sell because of products, products sell because of people! I am great with working with others, to help them be successful and help them find the tools necessary to achieve their goals and successes. I work with computers for reporting, spreadsheets and graphs, as well as power points when doing training or presentations. I believe that what we do for a living should be gratifying and fun as well as profitable. I have a lot of knowledge in business and need to know more. I always want to learn as much as possible in all industries. I have a strong motivation to create a positive environment to offer service the way it should be, pleasurable with great comfort.

08/2005-05/2006

I was employed with Dover Auto World in Dover NH 03820 as a Service Advisor for Honda. This is an ideal job that I love and have a strong passion to succeed in, only because of the clients. I am very oriented in customer service and I strive to exceed our clients expectations at all times. I'm in a position that is very limited for future promotions but is most gratified advising our clients with the needs of our services to maintain their vehicles. I'm very detail oriented and this is a huge tool to have when dealing with the public and other co-workers. I have knowledge of automobiles and this helps our clients feel at ease with questions or explanations that are needed. Our CSI scores (customer service index) are in the high 90's and I strive to maintain overall and personal numbers. I continue with my education through Honda to stay on top of technical information, and currently waiting to take ASE testing in May for Damage and estimating, as well any other test I can obtain. It may seem that I have what I want but I truly miss the body repair part of the industry. I want to be doing what I feel I'm very good at as well as maintaining the customer service level that what most companies would love to have. My duties also include technical knowledge, daily use of computer programs we use ADP, obviously for service departments, the biggest part of my job would be looked at as a sales position, a constant selling the maintenance programs to the clients, I do well in this and find it to be very simple part of my job, I only sell what is needed when needed due to the expense of maintaining ones vehicle. I find that my psychology degrees help me to have empathy and have the ability to listen to ones needs; this helped build a strong relationship with our clients.

2002-06/2005 Self employed

Independent Appraiser/Body shop manager

I managed a body shop in Farmington NH. I was contracted to get the business organized, due to recent staffing changes. I was hired to work with current personnel, and to re-establish working relationships with insurance companies, estimating, scheduling and bookkeeping duties (A/R, A/P, payroll). This was a temporary job, because the business is for sale.

I was also an Independent Appraiser. Writing for a number of insurance companys. My duties included using ADP pen pro and or Mitchell estimating systems, evaluating damages to property, (auto, motorcycle, boats and rvs ). Medium to Heavy duty trucks were also part of the claims. I worked with the repair facilities as well as keeping my claims within the insurance companys guidelines. I handled claims in a timely manner and processed them to ensure proper payment, or if they needed more investigating they would be referred to SIU.

Training Instructor

I started out working for PPG Industries in Connecticut as a National Training Instructor. I worked closely with Technicians, OE Manufacturers, Lab Technicians, and outside distributors. I taught and certified clientele at our state of the art training facility, product development and usage. Constantly updated everyone with changes in regulations. Established curriculum and class syllabus for the various classes we offered. Used power point and overheads to obtain objectives. Controlled inventory and budget needs. Traveled across the US to teach specialty classes. Handled all Haz-Mat information and record keeping. Did lab testing on competitive products for compatibilities

Job change in 1997 put me closer to home with less travel time away from home. I was working with the Bailey Manufacturing Corp. in Seabrook NH. I was hired on to be their Training Director. They were a plastic mol injection plant with accounts with Ford, Chrysler and Saturn. They made plastic parts for certain models. They also had a paint shop area that processed the parts once they were made, from prep to clear coat. I had designed curriculum for each department then implemented the programs, from Safety on up. We were able to meet and exceed the ISO9000 certification requirements.
