Mature and positive personality. I take initiative and am able to follow through on assignments with minimal
supervision. I have worked with the public extensively in civic organizations, at school and at work. I
have the ability to operate most computer programs, including Word, Excel, Word Perfect and
QuickBooks and various office machines. I also have experience in multi-line telephone systems. I
am a self-motivated person and work well under pressure. My most recent background has been in
insurance, but I have also worked in the legal system. Recent typing speed, 60 WPM. For 26 years
we were a self-employed ranch in Oregon, where I maintained the books for the ranch, worked with
the banks applying for operating loans, worked with the BLM & Forest Service Agencies to maintain
grazing permits, water improvements, range improvements.

Ran 300 head mother cows, with my husband, both on private property and on the BLM and Forest
Service. Maintained 45 miles of fence on the Forest, as well as range management, pasture rotation,
using grass-land utilization methods and riparian area care and maintenance. Had a good working
relationship with both agencies. Received good credentials in land and wildlife habitat utilization.
Marketed our calves on the video sales and through the sale yards locally.
1978 and 1980 Worked with State Entomologist to spray grasshopper infestions,
Signed applicants up, found their properties on maps, worked with Farm Bureau
And Cattlemen’s Associations to sign up applicants.
