As the Sr. Test Engineer on the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC)

project, His role is to lead the Test Team with a primary focus on

Operational Test and Evaluation supporting the Department of Homeland

Security's (DHS) FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) Logistics

Supply Chain Management System (LSCMS) Task Order. He is responsible for

supporting the Integrated Product Teams (IPT)/Working-level Integrated

Product Teams (WIPT) at customer site or via teleconference;

Software/System Acceptance Testing at defense contractor sites and

recommend/review test procedures and test plans; review requirements

documentation and support development of test plans/documents; prepare Test

connectivity of software at each DSS subcontractor facility. He provides

ongoing coordination in the analysis of software applications. Support IV&V

Testing during testing executions of DSS programs. Conducts complex

testing, troubleshooting and analysis tasks on various DSS network systems

development including integration, systems testing, interoperability

testing, test plans, and GAT (Government acceptance Test) plans to maintain

TAV's and I/T issues across the Software Development Life Cycle. Also, he

was responsible managing all of TAV I/T projects, which include leading the

On the US NAVY - MSC (Military Sealift Command) Project, As the Integration

Test Manager, he was responsible for supervising the integration testing

activities for all for the entire testing across MSC 9 projects (major

project, small projects, and departmental projects). He managed testing

personnel and resources. Also, his group was responsible for developing the

project's Test Plans, identifying the test approach and strategies for

testing the different projects supported by Engineering and Integration

Division. He coordinated and managed the building and configured IV&V

(Independent Verification and Validation) test lab and implemented test

processes and procedures into the integrated system and software

applications updates.. He lead the test team in developing and executing

test scripts for functional, system, UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and IV&V

Testing of COTS applications on Siebel, Oracle, Remedy, and UNIX

environments.

On the US Army - AKO (Army Knowledge Online) Project, As the Test Manager,

he developed project plan and test plan to support the development of the

AKO test environment. He identified testing strategies and approaches to

test new functionality and code fixes for future code migration into the

production environment.

IBM - Global Services; 11/1990 - 5/2005

On the CIGNA - Integration/Production Readiness Project; he was the Project

Manager, managing a $3M project, he was responsible for leading the test

team with the integration / production readiness testing of line of 136

business applications in the CIGNA Link32 environment. Darryl initiated the

project by identifying a sponsor, provided a comprehensive plan and

obtained agreement on the approach. Next, he executed against the plan

providing weekly project status reports in order to control spending and

ensure the communications were consistent. He was responsible for

managing, planning, scheduling, and testing on the project. His team was

responsible for the integration testing of 136 applications over 32 suites.

Along with this were the creation of an end-user environment to ensure

that a representative system is tested and the pre-production compatibility

problem detection for the suite. When the project was complete the 32

suites were deployed to over 35,000 seats (users) throughout the CIGNA

organization across the country.

He also was the As the Pilot Q/A Manager on the CMS -HIGLAS (Healthcare

Integrated General Ledger Accounting System) Oracle Federal Financials

Project, he coordinated the Pilot Test Team activities, which consisted of

two third party vendors (Palmetto, Empire - Blue Cross Blue Shield), by

assisting in the planning, tracking and supporting the acceptance test. He

coordinated the implemented, analyzed and converting requirement

specifications and use cases into detailed test cases and scripts using

toolset. Developed test cases/scripts from the client's business use cases

and procedures. Automated and executed test scripts using the Robot

toolset. Using the Rational Suite (DOORS, ReqPro, Functional Tester, SoDA,

Robot, Clear Case, Test Manager and Clear Quest) developed a defect

tracking procedure/process and defect metric reports to manage and track

defects. He coordinated the implementation of the project's configuration

and release management process. Developed a defect tracking

procedure/process to manage and track each defect found. Instrumental in

the 2-month Pilot Test success, by meeting the PT1 delivery date; staying

under budget; re-using resources; managing the defect tracking process and

On the Census Bureau; AmericanFactFinder Web Application Project; He was

the QA/Test Lead on a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) project; he

managed a 6-member test team. Which included, managing the testing and

deployment phases consisted of functional testing, system/integration

testing, code migrations, defect management, configuration management, and

performance/stress testing of the AFF and DPP applications. He managed the

team in executing the functional, regression, system, and performance tests

(using Loadrunner) on 3 different environments (TEST, UAT, and PROD) to

verify the functional/non-functional requirements were being satisfied. He

coordinated the code migration, change control; defect tracking processes;

reported defect metric reports (monthly), and communicated the project

status and project plans. Also, he created test final report and provided

deliverables to the client and the management team on time and analyzed

requirements, created a requirement matrix to map requirements to CR/PRs,

code builds/migrations, and test cases/scripts.

On the Pennsylvania Energy Company (PECO) - Panvalet/Endevor /PVCS Library

Management Tool Conversion Project; He was the Project Manager, he was

responsible for directing a team of 3 consultants in converting to a new

configuration management tool for COBOL code on the mainframe. The goal of

the project was to retire Panvalet library management tool and convert over

to Endevor's library management tool with minimum problems. While

converting to a new library management tool, the team also was responsible

for managing the code migrations of 3 environments and the production

environment. The team was also responsible for installing PVCS library

management tool on the client/server environment to manage the VB and

Access programs and 3rd party vendors' applications. He also, planned

application retirement, controlled project and executed the retirement

plan, delivering the project on time and within budget. Also, he was the

Test Manager on the PECO's PeopleSoft - HR, Benefits & Payroll Project. He

managed a team of 5 consultants, which consisted of testing the data

conversion of HR, Benefits and Payroll legacy systems to PeopleSoft

HR/Benefits Administration and Payroll client server application. Created

and updated Master Test Plan for the project. He also was the Test Lead, on

the PECO's PassPort Application Implementation project; He was responsible

for managing a team of 4 test consultants who provided testing of the

Passport application. He was responsible for overseeing the testing of a

3rd party vendor's application.

On the Department of Treasury - Internal Revenue Service (IRS) - RS/6000

Proof of Concept/Validation Project; As the Project Manager, he lead a

Pilot project porting an Integrated Case Processing (ICP) mission critical

application currently running on approximately 30 NCR MP-RAS 3.23 (UNIX)

3430s around the country to an IBM RS/6000s AIX environments.

On the FAA/ATC (Federal Aviation Administration /Air Traffic Control)

Project - As the Release Manager/Test Lead/CM Lead, he coordinated and

managed the development cycle for the software organization to meet

delivery dates, and interim and organizational milestones. He tracked day-

to-day activities, issues, status, and schedules. He also performed risk

mitigation to identify impacts to the overall schedule and identified

solutions to minimize impacts and risks to the project schedule. As Test

Lead, Darryl developed test plans and executed test scripts in a real-time

UNIX environment on an AIX RISC/6000 platform. He also defined test

strategies and methodology for testing. As Configuration Management Lead,

he directed the CM team in managing, building, controlling, and delivering

over 1 million lines of code using CMVS to the TEST and PROD environments.

Also as a Contract Monitor, he oversaw the sub-contractor's software

development and testing. This included managing/tracking their progress

against the project plan; conducting peer reviews; analyzing software

requirements; review/evaluating code design, development, and test scripts;

tracking day-to-day activities, issues, status, and schedules; and managed

the defect tracking, coordinating fixes and migration changes with the

development team, providing defect status to the management team, verifying

defects were corrected, and approving code to be migrated in to UAT and

Production environments.
