Vacancy: Process Engineer

Dear Mr. / Mrs. Recruiting Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in the Process Engineering position. As a holder of a Masters of

Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering with more than five years of pertinent process and

project engineering experience, I believe that my qualifications would bring relevant practical, research,

and communication skills to your corporation.

My recent work as a Process Engineer within Tenova part of the Iron Metal and Steel making division of

Techint Group has significantly enhanced my abilities to work in a multitask environment with strong

determination, creativity and ambition. Ultimately, my major role included in the control and

optimization of steel making processes in an Electric Arc and Blast Oxygen Furnaces. Through

continuous real time optimization, data analysis, system tuning, and process modeling, I assessed the

metallic conditions of the produced steel and consequently gave system recommendation for future

processes. I also worked closely with field engineers for completing successful installation of an off gas

patented probe and analyzer. The nature of my work also required me to develop unique hands-on and

decision making skills, and maintain positive operator-engineer relationship in fast paced environment.

In addition, I led the development and improvement of novel R&D projects with main goal of bringing

them from theory and prototype stages to available reliable product for online application. Overall, this

work has given me distinctive skills in problem solving, innovation and leadership.

In addition to my practical experience, my work as a research assistant has provided me with significant

research skills by applying chemical engineering concepts in an experimental lab. Ultimately, my thesis

project was based on the design and production of new cellulose polymeric systems used as potential

material stabilizers. The significance of this project was in its innovative nature combining between both

experimental and theoretical research work. This was translated in successful publication in a prestigious

academic journal paper and 1 conference poster presentation.

My input would be valuable to your company as I am keen to exercise the required skills and capabilities

that I have developed as an engineer through both industrial and academic experiences. I look forward

for an opportunity to further discuss my qualifications. You can reach me anytime at my cell # 1-647-

523-3478 or by email: abnzao@r.postjobfree.com

Thank you for your time.

Yours Sincerely,

Salim Khouri
