Developed creative and organized history lessons taught to five American History classes
per day. Led class instruction on subject matter including World War II (10th and 11th
grade) and Westward Expansion (9th grade). Guided lecture and discussion, group
activities, graded and compiled students’ work, utilized SMART Board technology in
day-to-day lessons, implemented classroom management strategies, and participated in
talent contest for the History Day club.

Designed unit plans for 4 Global Awareness II classes. Directed instruction on World
Geography and the Water cycle/Watershed (7th grade). Worked one-on-one with students
to improve reading and writing skills, implemented a wide variety of unique hands on
lessons and presentations for the students. Implemented management strategies including
re-teaching; which is the schools program of correcting a false action by re-doing it
correctly. Participated in watershed day where students participated in multiple
workshops learning about different aspects of watersheds and the Oil Creek watershed
specifically.

Designed unit plans for 3 Economics classes. Taught lessons on supply and demand while
relating it to the day to day lives of 12th grade students. Used the Smart Board and white
board for hands on lessons. Students also created their own stock holder accounts online
with true day to day stock activities of their studied investments. Students also did their
own study on a product using supply and demand to find their equilibrium price.

necessary life skills while also coping with their current problems.
Volunteer Work
Hermitage House, monitor and participate in multiple volunteering services within the
program. This includes volunteering at local nursing homes, local farms, Meadville dog
park, Kiwanis club, trash pick-up and recycling.
