To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this in response to the open Athletic Trainer position. My educational background in
athletic training makes me an excellent candidate for this position.
As you will see from the enclosed resume, I have worked with a number of sports at Henderson
State University while an undergraduate student and at Southern Arkansas University as a
Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer. This has allowed me to assist in the evaluation, treatment and
rehabilitation of numerous types of injuries. My military career instilled a work ethic in me that
continues to drive me today. My resume shows that I have consistently received honors for hard
work and leadership in both the military and athletic training setting. These awards are a direct
result of my strong work ethic and my commitment to personal and professional excellence. My
colleagues would say that I am assertive, a people person, detailed, easy going and can adapt to any
situation. These are qualities that I feel are valuable to someone working in the military athletic
training setting.
If you have any questions, or if you would like to schedule an interview, please contact me at the
phone number or email address listed above. I look forward to meeting with you to further discuss
employment opportunities with your institution. Thank you for taking the time to read over this
letter and my resume.
Respectfully,
Jack Travis Ursery
