Senior Project Manager. Highland Hospital Replacement, Oakland,
CA. Alameda County owners representative on a new 9 story, 160 bed
acute care tower and a 3 story medical office building with 176 below
grade parking spaces.

Construction Manager. Western Region Healthcare Practice
Group
Introduction of Parsons Western Region Practice Group to multiple
clients in the early development stages of major healthcare facility
renovation or direct replacement. Consultation on budget development
to include available funding streams. Functional space planning
guidance related to horizontal & vertical departmental adjacencies to
gain maximum efficiencies in the built environment.

Construction Manager. Catholic Healthcare West, Mercy Medical
Center Acute Care Hospital Campus, Merced, CA. Managed
construction of a new Greenfield hospital. The award-winning campus
included a 266,000 SF, 196-bed (185 licensed beds) main tower; 27,000
SF power plant and a four-story 66,000 SF medical pavilion to provide
supporting imaging services and a clinical laboratory. The project was
completed three months ahead of schedule and on budget with 1.3
percent change orders.

Construction Management Corporation 2003/2006
Senior Project Manager. Sutter Memorial Hospital Acute Care
Tower Addition, Modesto, CA. Managed construction of a new, eight-
story, 368,000 SF hospital tower. The project also included a new 850-
space parking garage that was six stories tall with two levels
underground. The new hospital tower connected to the existing hospital
at the first and third floors. The project featured 13 elevators, two of
which were dedicated to the central sterile and second and third floor
surgical suites. The hospital addition included capacity for 112 patient
beds, with two core and shell floors for future use. There were two
surgical suites providing 18 operating rooms. A kitchen, dietary
services, and dining area were located on the first floor. The hospital
was serviced by a new, three-story, 28,200 SF central utility plant
located 210 feet away and connected through an underground utility
tunnel.

Senior Project Manager. Sutter Gould Medical Foundation, Medical
Office Building, Stockton, CA. Managed construction of a 63,000 SF
medical office building that housed pediatrics and imaging on the first
floor, obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN) and internal medicine on the
second floor, and family practice and administration on the third floor.
This was the first building of a four-structure campus for a 27-acre
master planned site.
Project was completed on time and on budget.

Senior Project Manager. Sutter Gould Medical Foundation, Medical
Office Building, Modesto, CA. Managed construction of a two-story,
44,000 SF medical office building that housed family practice, OB/GYN,
internal medicine, and imaging departments. Project was completed on
time and on budget.

Catholic Healthcare West 2001/2003
Project Director. Catholic Healthcare West, Various Projects,
Stockton and Merced, CA. Provided management oversight for site
master planning, functional departmental organization, and interior
space planning for a new acute care replacement hospital and a
women’s and children’s pavilion. Responsible for ongoing tenant
improvement work in the existing hospital prior to replacement hospital
construction.
Project Manager. Catholic Healthcare West, Merced Community
Campus Tenant Improvements, Merced, CA. Managed tenant
improvement work in an existing facility. The project ultimately
converted a medical/surgical suite into a new, 28-bed, sub-acute skilled
nursing facility in preparation for consolidating the community campus
and the Dominican campus of Catholic Healthcare West in Merced.
Kaiser Construction Services 1986/2001
Project Manager and Construction Superintendent. Kaiser
Permanente, Various Projects, West Los Angeles, Fontana, Rancho
Cordova, and Roseville, CA. Managed emergency repairs at multiple
sites in response to the 1994 Northridge Earthquake, including
emergency repairs for 886,000 SF of earthquake damage to Kaiser
Medical Center in West Los Angeles, tenant improvements at Kaiser
Roseville, and information technology re-cabling and
telecommunications upgrades at Kaiser Rancho Cordova.
