OBJECT IVE:

I would like to obtain a position where I can best utilize my experience and skills developed

w hile serving in the United States Naval Submarine force. I have over 14 years’ of

experience in Preventive maintenance and tag-out/ lock-out systems in a highly industr ial

environment. As a technician I am knowledgeable in electronic repair and operation of

electronic equipment, I/O circuits, and AC/DC power supplies. I have experience with

hydraulic and pneumatic systems repair and testing and a strong working knowledge of

Quality Assurance Programs. I have continuously played a key role in directing

maintenance programs on three US Nuclear Powered Ballistic M issile Submarines and one

A uxiliary Submarine Repair Ship.

WORK H ISTORY:

2008-2011 USS Alabama

Title : Division Officer, 1st Lieutenant of ships Deck Division

Employment and Achievements: As Division Officer I was responsible for planning,

budgeting and implementing repairs to all Deck Division hull mounted Electrical and

H ydraulic equipment. Managed the maintenance of over 400 various types of Submarine

Equipment and directed the repairs of multiple Subsafe Deployment L imiting Systems. As

1st Lieutenant I was directly responsible for the t raining and management of twelve junior

submariners. As a senior Nuclear Weapons Security Guard I managed the schedule for 26

a rmed security watch standers during “Demonstration and Shake Down” operations and

Load Out. A major Nuclear weapons inspection which the Alabama was recognized for its

p rofessional and safe performance and received zero discrepancies.

2004-2008 USS Emory S Land

Title: Repair Division Assistant Leading Petty Officer

Employment and Achievements: Responsible for overseeing R-3 Division Sonar Systems /

M ast and Antenna repair shop as well as maintain and repair calibrated and un-calibrated

crane controller assemblies. As assistant Leading Petty Officer I was responsible for

organizing and leading Deployable Repair Teams to various forward Deployed Submarines

t hroughout the Mediterranean Sea. While serving aboard the Emory S. Land I held the

collateral duty of Department Controlled Material Officer, responsible for ordering,

i nspecting and controlling all Submarine Level 1 subsafe material from manufacture to

f inal installation. During this t ime I managed over 3 million dollars in controlled material.

Awards: Awarded fourth Admiral Commendation, fifth Battle Efficiency and first

Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal for performance of duties while serving overseas in

dangerous, demanding and stressful environments.

2001-2004 USS Nevada

Title: Sonar Technician 3rd Class

Employment and Achievements: Was responsible for the safe operation and

maintenance of Sonar Electronic equipment as a maintenance leader. Developed and

performed comprehensive Quality Assurance Work Procedures. While serving on the USS

Nevada I held the collateral duty of Divisional Training Officer, ensuring that divisional

personnel were knowledgeable in day-to-day operation/ maintenance of Sonar Equipment

and Auxiliary equipment and all safety standards.

Awards: Received Navy Battle Efficiency Award and Third Admiral Commendation for

performance of duties and was promoted to Petty Officer Second Class.

1998-2001 USS Georgia

Title: Sonar Technician Submarines

Employment and Achievements: Served as Junior Sonar Maintenance Personnel and

developed superior technical skills. As a Sonar Technician I was responsible for the safe

operation and maintenance of Sonar Electronic equipment.

Awards: Received two Admiral Commendations for superb performance of duties while

serving onboard USS Georgia and was promoted to Petty Officer 3 rd class.
