WORK EXPERIENCE:
Independent Contractor 2003 to present
Development and/or delivery of Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) courses, Adobe, QuickBooks and other
software programs. Instructional, graphic, website design and technical writing services provided. Create both
online and hard-copy deliverables such as: instructor manuals, instructor scripts, eLearning modules, course
syllabus, objectives, course evaluations, lesson plans, exercises, etc. for both students and instructors.
- Deliver instructor-led training to adults, with up to 16 students per class.
- Provide telephone support of software programs taught to clients and verbally walk them through necessary
steps to solve problems.
- - Develop customized training materials including eLearning simulations, games, quizzes, online (HTML)
tutorials, interactive demos, course syllabus, objectives, lesson plans, lab activities, etc. for software
applications and various employability skills.
- Deliver training to educators and administrators, teaching them how to use educational software programs in
the classroom. Software includes: Educational Options and Failure Free Reading, designed for grades k-12.
- Create technical documents including online knowledge (HTML) materials, grant request legislative letters,
marketing materials, acceptable use policies, evaluation methods, reference manuals, product specs, market
analysis, and other misc. documentation.
- Design print and online graphics including websites, report/proposal covers, logos, brochures, newsletters,

Major Projects:
2008 to Present: HP - Sr. Project Manager. Manage Knowledge Transfer (KT) and Processes and Procedures
Manual (PPM) for new outsourcing agreements for HP global accounts. Read all Statement of Work
documentation to determine requirements for PPM. Facilitate virtual meetings between SMEs and technical
writers to produce ITIL and governance processes, utilizing HP Virtual Rooms and other MS Office programs.
First project manager on team to serve as over-arching manager of all KT and Train-the-Trainer (T3) sessions
required for successful transition to HP outsourcing services.
2006 to Present: PC Professor: Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) Instructor: Deliver instructor-led training
for W ebsite foundations, Dreamweaver, Flash and PhotoShop to IT professionals (Saturday courses).
2007 to 2008: IBM/DeCA (Dept. of Defense Commissary Agency) Point-of-Sale (POS) Trainer/Instructional
Designer: Developed and delivered new-hire curriculum for IBM Help Desk employees. Project Manager for
end user documentation. Developed the Instructor Guide and an HTML-based Jeopardy game and workshops
for the Train the Trainer (T3) curriculum. Delivered training to new-hires and led instructor-led workshops at
the Train the Trainer sessions. Traveled to military commissaries around the globe and served as training site
Lead in EMEA and several domestic sites, managing a team of 3-6 trainers at each site. Delivered blended-
learning solution to commissary employees on new POS system, which included eLearning, LMS, on-the-job
training and post-install support.
2006 to 2007: Duke Energy: Development of an online knowledge base using Dreamweaver and FileNet for
PeopleSoft HR & Financial modules for the Supply Chain Help Desk, when they converted from version 8.0 to
9.0. Other documents included Viseo work flow procedures, troubleshooting, communication templates,
business processes, software application training, and online FAQs for intranet. Hardware and software
includes: Remedy, invoice scanning/data entry system, FileNet, Passport 8 & 10, PeopleSoft 8, Windows XP,
Lotus Notes, mainframe proprietary software for nuclear supply chain division, MS LiveMeeting, Outlook and
several miscellaneous proprietary software products.
Sign Language Interpreter 2001 to Present

Sign-language interpreter and tutor for hearing impaired adults seeking college degrees, which includes taking
complex subjects like trigonometry, organic chemistry, human anatomy and/or computer programming
courses, and translating subject matter into terminology/vocabulary levels to enable student comprehension.

Regular Responsibilities:
Educate consumers and retailers on product features/technology. Attend technology trade shows and perform
new product demonstrations for large audiences of 100+. Brands include: Apple, Epson, HP, Intel and Sony.
The days I was onsite at Best Buy educating consumers and sales people, HP printer sales were up an
average of 150% and Canon sales were down 75%.
Training Manager 1993 to 2001
Computer Solutions
Full service computer solution company in Oklahoma City, excluding training. I approached them to obtain
training referrals, but instead was offered a position with the company to develop a training department. When
first hired, there was one classroom with six PCs. Targeting medium businesses and local, state and federal
agencies, the department grew to 3 classrooms and 36 PCs in two years, with generated revenues exceeding
$250k. In 1995, voted “Oklahoma City’s Number One Computer Training Provider” by The Daily Oklahoman.

- Developed student and instructor’s manuals and delivered formal computer training, including but not limited
to: MS Access, Office, FrontPage, Publisher, Visio, Windows, Adobe PageMaker, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Mac
OS, CorelDraw, WordPerfect, Lotus 1-2-3, Lotus Freelance, Lotus Notes, FileMaker Pro, HTML, Dbase and
DOS.
- Maintained NT training server and classroom equipment.
- Created documentation for internal operating procedures, recruiting, supervising and training all employees.
- Consulted with project managers, engineers and IT managers to develop and document system
conversion/implementation plans for clients – network planning guides were created using MS Project,
Illustrator and PageMaker.

Major Projects:
- Approx. 24-month technical writer assignment for commercial Point-of-Sale (POS) software developer
migrating from DOS to Windows-based version, created in Visual Basic. Worked through entire life-cycle of
software, developing end-user training and documentation, which included requirements gathering utilizing
SDLC linear sequential model. Additional POS knowledge was acquired for networking hardware devices
including barcode scanners, cash register drawers, credit card readers and other physical inventory tools.
Established beta testing sites and provided training to back office and IT managers to identify/document
software problems and error messages, while mirroring all transactions in previous DOS software version.
Developed the online help system for program using Help Magician Pro (now Help Magician Elite.)
- In-house consultant for 3 months with United Biomedical to establish implementation of an AIDS vaccination
project utilizing MS Project. Interviewed chemists, research analysts and IT managers to understand overall
scope of project; translated information requirements into non-technical terms and created procedure guides
and on-the-job training for project administrative assistants. 24-month on-going support also provided, as
needed.
