Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (2005 to 2008)

Responsible for implementing new equipment and tooling for high speed and high volume stamping and

press room automated assembly areas. Provided tool engineer support. Led the design, build, assembly,

tryout, installation and production implementation of dies, presses, feed systems and automated tooling.

Led project to upgrade 600 ton stamping press including all press electrical controls and feed line that

resulted in improved department productivity through 86% increase in equipment output.

Initiated and executed automated system to transfer parts from press to press that realized labor cost

savings of $90,000 annually. Implemented SmartPac monitoring systems.

Directed initiative to implement two multiple spindle CNC turning centers with automatic load/unload

and new SPC standards and tooling.

Collaborated to develop high speed tooling and in-the-die assembly for electrical switch components,

reducing costs of overall parts and eliminating equipment repair expenses.

Implemented new QDC die cart system for lamination press area, improving safety and decreasing

length of time for die change.

Responsible for the repair, rebuild and maintenance of all automated equipment within the plant. Including

machinery for the sub-assembly of all stamped components and assembly of final product.

Managed 40 skilled technicians over 3 shifts. Performed all scheduling and tracking of work hours.

Provided technical support on numerous installations of new high speed automated assembly and

stamping value added assembly equipment, meeting deadlines and assuring high quality performance.

Managed and directed technical staff developing technical abilities through creation of PLC and

electrical training matrixes that enhanced individual skills and confidence and improved productivity.

Implemented and coordinated training on 5S and TPM system within various manufacturing areas that

reduced costs and freed up floor space.

Implemented new presses, feed lines and tooling in the stamping,and automated assembly areas. Directed

and performed the prototyping, and development of near net stampings. As well as the design, build,

assembly, tryout, installation and production implementation of stamping equipment and tooling.

Coordinated successful new tooling and production start up for four new parts relative to major

product design change as member of multifunctional new product implementation team.

Established preventative maintenance procedures and spare parts system for new tooling that improved

up time. Including up time on high speed lamination tooling and presses.

SERVICE TOOL & DIE, INC., Milwaukee, WI 1995 to 1997

Manufacturer of medium and large stamping dies for automotive, appliance and lawn and garden industries. Built

deep draw tooling for motorcycles and automotive tools for Mexico. Prototype fabrication for tractor components
