Senior IT Project / Program Manager - Contract Position

Hired to set up and lead a Program Management Office and a support team of Information Technology Business Analysts

and Project Managers for multiple Mutual Funds, Annuity, Retirement, and Withdrawal related SDLC application projects in

support OMNI Platform upgrade. Drove project execution through scoping, estimating, requirements, design, development,

testing, training, change management, and implementation.

• Gained executive buy in to set up the division’s first formal methodology that included capacity modeling, gap analysis

and cost benefit analysis. This enabled them to prioritize over 250 projects, commit resources and set the foundation for

Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

• Established repeatable and sustainable governance model including reporting and tollgate management. Managed

while keeping the overall effort accretive within 2 year payback.

BASEL - FINANCE / Program Management Office Reporting Manager, 12/2004 – 5/2006

Selected for this startup business unit dedicated to ensuring bank compliance to Basel II; an international business standard

that requires financial institutions to maintain enough cash reserves to cover operational risks. Focused on managing

compliance to both “Documentation Strategy” and “Governance, Process Review, and Oversight” work stream of projects.

Focal point for developing feasibility, planning and execution methodology. Managed Basel PMO project checkpoints and

program-level status reporting. Initiated and managed Change Control Review Management Process for PMO. Developed

process for closeout criteria to ensure corporate IRB Supervisory guidance compliance gaps were met.

• Developed and trained 10 PMO Project Managers and coordinators on Basel PMO best practices while developing
